"When are you coming home?" Jennifer asked and proceeded telling Stevie, how much she'd missed her. "Aren't you bored? What are you doing there by yourself?"
"I have the room paid for another week." Stevie replied, her eyes following Lindsey in the massive pool of the hotel. "I miss you, too, but I'm not bored."
"Yeah? Someone's keeping you company?"
"Uh, no. Of course not." Stevie replied hurriedly. "I've told you, Dean left."
"Maybe I should come see you." Jennifer wondered aloud. "We could have some fun!"
"I'll be home soon enough, Jen. I really don't need anyone else here." Stevie rolled her eyes, watching as Lindsey got out of the pool and he was making her way towards her. She smiled at him, but the smile quickly vanished from her face, when he was stopped by a woman.
"Stevie? Are you still there?"
"Oh, uh, yeah. I'm sorry." Stevie apologized, a frown on her face. Just tell her to fuck off. "Must be some connection issues or something."
Jennifer tried keeping the conversation going for a few minutes longer, but Stevie was barely listening. She lied to her friend that she couldn't hear her very well, that she was breaking up. They said their goodbyes and Stevie hung up. She got up from the lounger she was lying on and marched towards the pair.
"We should set something up." Stevie heard the woman, who she hadn't seen before, say to Lindsey, making sure her chest was pushed out as far as possibly, nearly falling out of her bikini top.
"Well, actually I'm-" Lindsey began, but he didn't get out more than that, when Stevie came to stand by his side, her arm wrapped itself around his back. She brought her other hand up to his face and turned his head so she could give him a big wet kiss on the lips.
"Hey, you." Stevie smiled, clearly having caught him off guard. "I was wondering, where you had disappeared to."
"Uh-" Lindsey just stared at her, unsure of what else he could say in that situation.
"Are you two done here?" Stevie asked, facing the other woman, before she turned to Lindsey again. "We have plans, remember?"
"Su-sure." Lindsey nodded and followed after her, when she began walking away, taking big strides. Once they were far enough away, Lindsey stopped abruptly, causing Stevie to stumble backwards. "What was that?"
"What do you mean?" Stevie replied as if she hadn't done that on purpose.
Lindsey paused, narrowing his eyes at her, he smirked. "Are you jealous?"
"Jealous?" Stevie scoffed and faked a laugh. "Why would I be jealous?"
"Because a beautiful, practically naked woman was chatting me up?" He raised an eyebrow, feeling rather smug.
"Well, if she's so beautiful, why don't you go back to her and set something up?" Stevie turned on her heel to walk away, but Lindsey grasped her hand to stop her.
"If you had let me talk, you would have heard that I was about to turn her down." Lindsey placed his hands on her sides and pulled her in closer, even though she might have tried to resist. "Would I have agreed to anything she might have offered if you weren't here? Most likely, but you are here. Stevie, we've spent the past five days together. Doesn't that tell you anything?"
"What is it supposed to be telling me?" Stevie asked, still a little reluctant she locked her arms around his neck. "This is just..." She shrugged. "A hook up that's lasted five days already, right?"
Lindsey swallowed uneasily and gave a weak shrug as well. "Maybe. Maybe not."
