They talked. They agreed. They made a decision to stay away from each other even if just for a day. What was only meant to be a one night stand, was already getting out of their control. They had to think about it, deep down they knew, it was just a holiday romance. Maybe if they weren't around each other day and night, maybe they weren't going to feel the need to be together at all.
Easier said than done. Stevie slept terribly by herself. She kept reaching out to the other side of the bed only to wake herself up and be disappointed when there was no one with her. She got used to Lindsey quickly, too fast. She realized that once she left for home, she was likely never going to see him again and it was stupid of her to be missing him. She couldn't help it that she did, though.
Lindsey barely slept at all. He had to have drifted off, exhausted himself at some point. When he woke up the next morning, he found himself clutching a pillow, which he didn't realize he had grabbed during the night. He went to use the bathroom and then stared at himself in the mirror. He didn't quite recognize the man he was looking at. His physical appearance hadn't changed, of course not, but he didn't know, who he currently was on the inside. You just got lucky. Numerous times, he thought, making himself stupidly grin. Stevie wasn't single, he didn't really want to get involved, did he? For all he knew, she could have already called her boyfriend, confessed and made up. He sighed.
The hours ticked by slowly. Without knowing it, they spent the day more or less the same. Since neither of the two wanted to accidentally run into the other person, they stayed in their rooms. Room services and whatever was on the TV kept them occupied.
There wasn't much else to do, so Stevie decided to go to bed at an unusually early hour. She wasn't going to fall asleep, but she changed out of her clothes, showered and got in under the covers anyway. She flipped through the channels and found nothing interesting. She glanced at the bedside table, where her phone was. She shook her head and looked away. She still considered sending a text message, but quickly decided against it. It wasn't what they had agreed on.
It was nearing midnight. Lindsey remembered he had brought a couple of books and went to look for them in his suitcase. He took one with him to bed and opened the first page. He read it, then he read it again. He found it difficult to concentrate, so he put the book away.
Stevie patted the empty space beside her, calling her dog to keep her company, after she had turned the TV off. She fluffed her pillow and attempted to get comfortable, she closed her eyes. They snapped open just a few minutes later, when there was a knock on the door.
Wearing only her nightie, Stevie approached the door, her hand on the handle. Maybe, I should pretend to be asleep. Another knock echoed around the quiet room and she pulled the door open. Lindsey was leaning against the doorframe, a glimpse of a smile on his lips.
"You're not supposed to be here." Stevie said, unable to fight back a smile either.
"Are you going to ask me to leave?" Lindsey asked, raising an eyebrow. She stepped back and invited him in. As soon as the door closed, he pulled her against him and embraced her tightly. He drew back, cradling her face in his hands. "I had the worst day."
"Me too." Stevie nodded, tilting her chin up for a kiss.
He showed her, how much he'd missed her. She gladly reciprocated, trying to walk them to bed, but he had other plans. She soon found herself pushed up against the nearest wall, her body trapped between it and his body, his hands seemingly everywhere at once, his lips on hers, until he pulled back a little, their faces still just inches apart.
"Did you miss me?" He asked, she felt his hot breath on her exposed skin.
"I did." She replied, reaching for his belt buckle, but he stopped her. "What-"
He pushed her legs wider apart with his knee, he placed his hand on her hip and moved it up to find her wearing nothing underneath her nightie. He let out a sound that resembled a growl and his hand disappeared between her thighs, she yelped at his sudden and rather rough movements, gripping onto his shoulders to keep herself upright.
"You have no idea, what you do to me." He pressed his forehead against hers, his breathing heavy. "I don't know, why you have such an effect on me."
She couldn't possibly respond, feeling the pleasure building up fast in the pit of her stomach as his fingers worked even faster. It wouldn't have taken much longer, but he suddenly stopped. Before she could yell at him, he lifted her nightgown up and over her head, he then quickly discarded his own clothes as well. There was nothing romantic about getting fucked against a wall, so she at least expected to remain face to face. Again, wrong. He gripped her waist and turned her around, her chest now pressed against the wall. He teased her, swiping his erection over her center a few times before he pushed himself in and she cried out, however, the pleasure quickly took over the pain. He didn't slow down when he brought his hand up and wrapped it around her throat to pull her back against him. It wasn't the most comfortable position by any means, but he wanted her as close as possible.
"You're driving me crazy." He spoke into her ear then gently bit her neck before leaving a kiss there. "All I can think about is you."
She thought that her knees were going to give out, when his hand moved over her breasts, down her stomach and he pressed the pad of his middle finger just above where they were joined. He let his forehead rest against her shoulder, doing his best to hold out for as long as he could. Well, for as long as it was going to take her to come around him.
"Come for me." He said, kissing across her back with his mouth open. "I want to feel you."
That was about all she could handle before she succumbed and yelled out several different versions of his name, drawing his own release from him.
They remained together for a moment longer until their breathing returned to somewhat normal. He gently pulled out and turned her to face him, he leaned in to kiss her.
"I didn't hurt you, did I?" His concern for her surprised her.
"No." She shook her head, reassuring him with a smile. "No, I'm okay."
"Can I stay?" There was an undertone of vulnerability in his voice and it melted her heart.
"You're not going anywhere." She said and took him by the hand to lead the way to the bed.
