She had cried a river

A great river; great Blue River

It shone in the sun and glistened in the moonlight

But why were these tears to be?

Created by the tormented wounds

that no one else could see

Why did it seem, that she had lost all her fight

Simple things that happened overnight

When the world carried on

She was left behind

Searching for a little sincerity, hidden behind the mist

That blinded her, balling her hands into fists

So she cried herself a river

A river which ran for day upon day

month upon month

and for year upon year

She shed many tears and keened for her loss

so soon the river turned to sea

and the sea turned to ocean

And when the ocean covered her world

she built a bridge

and upon that bridge, she ran and she ran

She fled to where time began

and saw the beautiful hue beyond the haze

So on the bridge, she danced a dance

she skipped with joy to the other side

where she caught up with the world

And with them shared memories

but carried on with life, no longer left behind.
