Cuts and bruises
are fashionable now.
so it seems,
just lots of kisses
from blue mouths
I wonder if they let
the tea brew long enough
crossed out eyes
and grinding teeth
sadness seems to me,
everybody's boyfriend.
Why do I let him cheat on me?
perhaps it's in the sandwiches
and lunchbox silence
of five to one chew and chatter
and the shared thought of:
'I should have done that'
but none of us seems to care anymore
I wonder if their minds are wastelands
created by expectation and dedication
of society and future insecurities
and the need to do what is needed
only.
Five made the count this afternoon
and I wondered if it was the blue mouths
or just our in-trend processes.
