Winter
clutch me in your fingers
and sink me through
your spectrum
of winter wonderland snares
Winter
smother me in your smell
of pine, and silver
frosted grass blades, brine
of a raging grey sea
Winter
steal me away,
so we may sing the blues once more
fill my ears with winter bell ring
wash me up on a grey pebbled shore
Winter
oh winter, hold me in your arms
don't ever drop me
on the cold floor again.
Don't ever let me drown again
Deliver me to spring
in safe arms, cold winter.
