i sleep forever
light as a feather
sunken as sailor's ship
in stormy sea weather
and then i bite the tongue
of insomnia, her night
and early morning rise
with the sun. grey as
the clouds this morning.
i sleep fornever
floating like a feather
sunken on the seabed
thoughts flapping in my head
and i clip at their wings
-miss a feather and they fly:
morning yawn crescendos
to midday lethargy
in cold classroom blinks.
