Chapped lips
for chapped smiles
and bitten nails
for endless scratches
Did we forget
to see in between
and walk straight through
in passing, and missing
sore lips for our
sore smiles
and tired eyes
for our sleepless nights
Did they pass us by,
again?
Powdery cheeks
for the dust
in top of our heads
Did we forget
us again?
Closed eyes
for maybe dreams
closed mouths
for china smiles,
We're passing us
and them by,
again.
Shouting heads
for unspoken hopes
Sharp listening
for harsh whispers
Were we missing,
were you missing us?
Did we walk straight through
eyes fixated, deviate-
no, fixate.
