hush hush

the dormouse

is nesting.

the raven is at the chamber door

against the frame, resting

"it's all just a dream"

dream

dreamy

dreamy reverie moontide rush

I am at the shore

once there was a beckon at my door

and a call at the window

and dormouse is in my pocket

wrapped in silks and velvet

red velvet, maroon, maroon me

in the moontide, I drowned a thousand times

for a swig of the sea,

that's a pirate's plea

are we not free?

hush hush

the raven is nesting

on the mantelpiece

with dormouse in a stocking

and sun says it's all just a dream

day dawned with a yawn

of gold, the night had dusted his hands off on the stars

frost and dew promise

of a bright day

I feel like a child

being doted over

and grass is greening my legs

and dandelion seeds in my hair

it's all without care

with such a day as to watch over me.
