In the shadow of veiled hearts,
flutters high in anticipation, she smiles
(we all smile back)
did you ever know someone
with a smile which was simply radiant?
honey bears are gorging on a springtime in their dreams far away in hills of sleep
I like egg yolks, runny and orange gold and full cream milk,
I love marmalade on toast and blue grey rainclouds next to a soaked sun,
radiant, she smiles (did you ever see a smile as radiant as hers?)
I like the smell of pine and honeysuckle,
I love cinnamon and nutmeg and the spice cupboard.
her smile dazzles, venus love.
I like walking barefoot on a winter's morning on the patio,
and I like conservatories because they remind me of sunny sofas
and lazy afternoons in summer when I was little.
her smile blinds, venus traps hearts
I like jewels and expensive things because sometimes I'm materialistic.
I like jelly and custard and a proper cup of English tea.
(I don't really know what I'm doing now.)
