Loyalty waits in her wings, I unfurl
you. This is how they do it,
brush back my curls, smile, laugh
Roll your eyes Russian dolls, roll those many eyes
laugh those many lips. I unfurl
you. Hair in turbans, we laugh it all off
wipe our eyes, wipe our many eyes
dab away the tears on our many faces
with our many hands. I unfurl
you, watch us unfold, and we can
build ourselves back up again
Just like Russian dolls, ornate doll-faces
hiding behind our many painted smiles.
