Ophelia woke up with Jonathan's arm around her, hearing the unmistakeable sound of Joyce talking... to Will?

She couldn't actually hear his voice but she could clearly hear her saying his name.

"I... I'm not imagining that, right?"

"No."

The two quickly got up, going straight to Will's room where Joyce sat with lamps surrounding her as she looked around with wide-eyes.

"Mom?"

"Jonathan! Ophelia! Come here!"

"What are you doing?"

"I need you to see this. It's Will- he's talking to me."

"How?" Ophelia was confused to say the least when Jonathan took a seat with his mother.

"Through the lights! If you just give him a moment-"

"Mom, seriously? That's just the electricity acting up! Like with the phone."

"It's not that at all."

Ophelia bit her lip nervously, knowing Jonathan needed a moment alone with his mother, "I'll get started on breakfast for you two."

"Thanks, O."

"Yeah, no problem."

After making sure they both ate, Ophelia drove to school, partially surprised that Jonathan even wanted to go but not questioning it.

What she didn't know was that he only wanted to go to use the darkroom.

He might have felt like a bit of a creep last night taking those pictures but he truly couldn't help himself. Not that he ever could with pretty girls- especially not Nancy Wheeler.

She caught his eye almost immediately and as much as it sucked watching her with Steve, he still liked the photos he got... even though it meant those photos would hurt his best friend.

He wasn't planning on showing it to her though. Not while she was still upset over what happened with Steve. He didn't want to show her at all but it was hard considering she wasn't exactly giving him the space to do that though.

He understood why she didn't want to leave his side though. She was worried about him and he loved that about her- how caring she was.

"I'm going to go to the darkroom so you should get lunch."

"But I want to come with you!"

"I thought you were hungry."

"I am no-"

"Ophelia! There you are!"

"Hey, Meg," she said nervously when two of her newest friends approached her, "What's up?"

"You haven't been to school in so long! We have so much to discuss!"

For a night that was so incredible to her when it first happened, she never regretting it more than she did in that moment.
