"Ophelia? Ophelia? Are you there? Over."

Ophelia rolled her eyes playfully, going to grab the walkie talkie the boys insisted she had when she last saw them.

It felt weird at first taking something of Will's without asking Jonathan or Joyce but when they insisted she needed it just in case, she couldn't fight that logic.

Not with Eleven now in the picture and them doing their own thing.

"What's up?" she sighed when there was no response, knowing what they were waiting for, "Over."

"Dustin and I are going to look for El. You want to come with? Over."

"Dustin and you? What about Lucas?... over."

"I'm not going anywhere with those traitors- over."

"Okay. So where are you going? Over."

"I'm going to follow the compass to find the portal to find Will- over."

"Is it really a smart decision to split up right now?" Ophelia couldn't help but get worried at the thought of one of them being alone, "Over."

"I'll be fine. Besides, I don't want any traitors with me anyway. Over and out."

"Lucas- Lucas!"

"Does this mean you'll be coming with us?" Dustin asked hopefully, "Over."

"Afraid not, kiddo. I'm hanging with the siblings today. Keep me updated though- all of you," she said, knowing Lucas was still listening, "Over and out."

She quickly put the walkie talkie in her bag before heading outside where Jonathan and Nancy were already waiting for her.

"It took you that long to get a bag?"

"Suck it, Byers," she stuck her tongue out playfully, "I call backseat."

"Since when do you call backseat?"

"Since I need a nap."

And since she wanted to make sure Jonathan and Nancy sat in the front together.

Part of her felt bad that she was actively trying to get Nancy to essentially cheat on Steve but the other part desperately wanted her best friend to be happy... it was just a bonus if Steve ended up being single.

When they got to the hunting store, Ophelia greeted the store owner, making Nancy chuckle.

"You a big hunter?"

"God no. When I first got here, Steve took me on a grand tour of Hawkins and we went to every store meeting everyone."

"Oh. So you and Steve are really close, huh?"

"Were."

"Is that... is that my fault?"

"Definitely not. It was Steve's fault. When we got to school, he essentially ditched me and Jonathan became the number one man in my life."
