"Where the hell did she go?!"

"In there!"

"In where?! The tree?!"

"You seriously think that's so far fetched with everything that's happened?!"

"Fine," he sighed, the two sitting down carefully, "How do we even get in?"

"I don't know, she just climbed in!"

"Okay. Guess I'm going in then."

"Wait!" she stopped him from going in, "Maybe we should just call her name, get her to follow our voice to get out?"

"I- but she needs our help!"

"This is how we can help."

The two called her name, both desperate for her return. Ophelia was close to giving up and just going in too when Nancy's hand came out.

They immediately grabbed it, using all their force to pull her out.

"Nancy! Oh my god! Are you okay?"

She was at loss for words, only shaking her head as she sat wide-eyed and terrified out of her mind.

"Nancy! Talk to us!"

When Ophelia saw she still wasn't saying anything, she gathered her things, "Cmon. We gotta get her out of here."

"Ye-yeah."

The three quickly made it to her car, Jonathan sitting in the back with Nancy trying to help her clean up while reassuring her that she was okay.

By the time they made it to her house, Nancy swallowed the lump in her throat, "Th-thanks for the ride... and not leaving me there to die."

"Of course we wouldn't have, Nancy," Ophelia gave her a look, "If you need anything call us."

She slowly nodded, stealing a quick glance at Jonathan before leaving the car.

When Ophelia saw that, she smirked, making Jonathan confused when he looked away from Nancy for the first time to look at her.

"What?"

"She wants you to stay."

"She does?" he couldn't help the hopeful tone in his voice, only to clear it seconds later, "No she doesn't."

"Johnny, cmon. You can't be that clueless."

"I'm not- I- she's dating Steve!" Jonathan protested, feeling bad when Ophelia's smile disappeared, reaching over to place a hand on her shoulder, "And I'm dating you."

"Yeah, well, I'll give you a break from that lie tonight."

"But I don't want a-"

"Johnny," she turned in her seat, "You've been obsessed with that girl since forever. Don't let go of this opportunity out of fear. Go in there and be the best goddamn shoulder to cry on that she could ever ask for."
