"Rosemary's baby!"

Ophelia rolled her eyes as she walked past the people on the lawn, "When is that joke going to finally get old?"

"Never," Jonathan smirked.

She only shook her head when she walked into the house, only for everyone to scream a mixture of Happy Birthday and surprise.

"Did I get you?" Tina giggled when she approached her.

"You definitely did," Ophelia chuckled even though Tina specifically told her the party was for her, "Thanks, Tina."

"Of course- you know where the drinks are. And when you have the chance, I have this guy who is very eager to meet you-"

"Seriously? I'm right here."

"Who are you?"

"Tina."

"It's fine," Jonathan sighed, "I'll go get you a drink."

"At least he knows his place," Tina joked, earning another look from Ophelia, "I'm kidding! But speaking of which..."

She frowned when Tina wiggled her eyebrows, quickly making her escape. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was happening.

"Is this your way of telling me that you're into me?"

"Excuse me?" Ophelia scoffed when she turned around to face Billy.

"Well, I call you princess and wouldn't you know it," he smirked as he placed the birthday princess tiara on her, "You show up dressed like princess Di."

"Jokes on you, California. I chose this costume before I even met you."

That was a lie but she would say anything to get away from a mistake she didn't want to make tonight.

"I've yet to catch your name, princess."

"And I'm not going to give it to you-"

"Keg king Billy! There you are! Hey, Ophelia. Happy birthday."

"Seriously, Tommy?"

"What?"

"Ophelia," Billy smirked, but he didn't say anything else when Tommy dragged him away.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing. Please tell me there's alcohol in this."

"That's mostly alcohol."

"Good."

"I'm gonna use the bathroom- be right back."

She only nodded, drinking a bit from her cup when she spotted some of her friends, quick to go over to them.

Steve was in the middle of dancing with Nancy when he saw her and without Jonathan- knowing that this could be his only chance to finally get an answer, he needed to speak to her.
