"What do you mean you broke up?"

"What do you mean you broke up?"

"I mean, we broke up," Ophelia shrugged, continuing to pet Mrs. Hopper.

"And you're completely fine with it?"

"Yeah?"

"What is broke up?" El spoke up for the first time, snapping Hopper and Ophelia out of their conversation.

When Hopper first told Ophelia about finding Eleven and wanting to take care of her but not wanting anyone to find out since she was still in danger, she was a bit weary.

She felt so guilty about not telling Mike who she knew was really upset about losing her that night but Ophelia knew it was for the best.

Now, she was not only used to keeping El a secret but it truly felt like she finally got that little sister she always wanted.

Part of having a little sister was teaching El all about boys and relationships and basically anything that made Hopper uncomfortable.

"It's when two people who are a couple are no longer a couple."

"What is a couple?"

"Jonathan and Ophelia," Hopper explained, "Or at least, they were."

"Is it when two people kiss?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Are Mike and I a couple?"

"Excuse me?" Hopper frowned.

"She obviously doesn't know what she's talking about," Ophelia laughed nervously, "No, El. Mike kissed you on the cheek. That's a little different. Besides, he never asked you to be his girlfriend, did he?"

"Girlfriend?"

"Oh you've got a lot to learn."

"Good luck," Hopper patted her back, "Can you discuss this after dinner though? I'd rather not talk about relationships with my daughter."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Talk now," El frowned.

"Dad, just watch the news. El and I will talk in her room."

"Fine," he groaned, "but only because there's this interesting story in Pittsburg- and you two are gone already."

"Lesson number one, little sis," Ophelia took a seat on El's bed, "You never tell dad anything boy related. You want to talk about your feelings? Talk to me. Not dad."

"Why not?"

"Because dad will get overprotective and lock you in this room for the rest of your life."

When El tensed up, Ophelia laughed slightly, "Sorry. I keep forgetting I can't joke around like that with you. I didn't mean it literally. I just mean... when you do get back out there and are with Mike, it'll make it easier for both of you if Hopper doesn't know everything about your relationship."
