You sat on the couch, enjoying your mostly chill day. Nothing had happened so far, but you didn't mind that. It was nice to relax once in a while. Just as you were thinking this, Papyrus rushed down the stairs, surprising you. "Papyrus! What are you doing?" You asked. He smiled. "YOU AND I ARE GOING TO UNDYNE'S!" He exclaimed.

All you felt was dread. "Papyrus, I don't think that's a good idea." You tried to persuade, but Papyrus wouldn't listen to you. Not that it was odd or anything. Papyrus usually didn't listen to reason. "NONSENSE! YOU AND UNDYNE WILL BE THE BEST OF FRIENDS!" He said happily, picking you up and rushing off to Undyne's. Left with no choice, you just let it happen.

Papyrus makes his way through Waterfall and stops by a house that looks something like a fish head. He gently places you down and knocks on the door. After a moment, Undyne answers. "Hey, punk! What're ya-" She sees you and her expression falters. She seems upset. "C'mon in, Papyrus... human.." She trails off a bit, moving and gesturing the two of you inside. You followed Papyrus inside.

There was an awkward silence for a few moments. "WHOOPSIE DOOPSIES! I FORGOT, I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!" Papyrus said, quickly leaving by jumping out the window. You look between the now broken window and Undyne. She looks a lot more upset now. "So. Why are you here?" She asked. You looked up at her. "To rub your victory in my face?" She questioned violently. You shook your head. That wasn't why at all.

"To fight me again?" Undyne stepped towards you, venom filling her tone. You stepped back, shaking your head and trying to show that you meant no harm. "To ruin my life?!" She asked, brandishing her spear. You yelped softly. "Undyne, stop!" You yelled, moving your arms in front of your face to protect yourself.

"I came here to apologize." You said, slowly moving your arms back down and looking up at Undyne. She seemed shocked. "What?" She asked. You swallowed whatever pride you had. "I don't know what I did to upset you so much, but I came here to make things right." You explained. Undyne was confused. "Look, punk-" You didn't let her finish her sentence. You were scared of what she might say. "I want to fix things, that way we don't have to fight. You don't deserve to have to do that." You said.

Undyne was speechless for a second. "Heh.. you know, most of you humans all preach the same crap. But fine. We can try being friends, I guess." She replied, looking away. You figured she didn't want you to see her as vulnerable. You smiled softly. "Thank you, Undyne." You said. She smiled in return. "Yeah, yeah. Don't mention it, kid." She replied, still embarrassed.

You and Undyne chatted for waht felt like hours. Finally, it was time for you to leave. "Wait, punk! Before you go, here's my number. Feel free to call me anytime." She said, handing you a piece of paper. You smiled. "Alright, thanks!" You replied, heading out. You walked back through Waterfall, taking your time. It was a nice place to just have a stroll, especially when there wasn't someone trying to kill you.

You made your way back to Snowdin, feeling a soft chill run through you. The different climates in the underground were so interesting. How was it even possible? Magic, you supposed. That was a question for another day, though. You walked back into Sans' house, but he wasn't there. Huh. That was odd. You figured he was probably at Grillby's again or something. It seemed like he loved to spend time there.

Snapped out of your thoughts, you looked around. Papyrus stood in front of you. "(Y/N). I WANT TO TALK WITH YOU." He said. You were a little taken aback. "Oh- uhm- okay! What did you want to talk about?" You asked, looking up at him. He seemed serious, which was a lot different from his normal personality. "What is your goal here? What are you trying to do?" Papyrus asked. A chill ran down your spine. He was using a normal voice? That couldn't be good.

"What do you mean?" You questioned, confused. Papyrus seemed annoyed at that. "You know perfectly what I mean. What are your intentions with my friends? You're not going to hurt them, are you?" His voice sounded much different than normal. Almost angry, even. "No! God, no... I wouldn't dream of hurting anyone. I just want to make friends." You tried to explain.

Papyrus smiled. "OH. GOOD!" His voice was back to normal now. That made you feel a lot better. "What made you think I would do something like that..?" You asked softly. Papyrus answered almost immediately. "A SMALL FLOWER TOLD ME! IT SAID THAT SOMETHING BAD WOULD HAPPEN SOON, BUT I SUPPOSE IT WAS WRONG." He sounded as cheerful as ever, but something about that didn't set right with you.

A flower? As in Flowey? You felt uncomfortable. You didn't like that thing. Well, you figured no one really did, but that didn't matter. "Alright then..." You tried to brush it off, not wanting to think about that right now. Papyrus went off to go do his own things, leaving you alone in the house.

You considered the situation for a few moments. Underground, there was what must be thousands of monsters. How did no one know? Were you truly the first person to know in generations? That couldn't be right. It made no sense. Maybe you'd ask someone about it later. Or go read about it in the library. Or- you assumed it was a library. The sign actually said librarby, but you thought that was a mistake.

There was probably a story behind that sign. You should ask one of the locals sometime. Yeah, that sounded like a good idea. Getting to know everyone better could only go well. Besides, making friends was what you had wanted!
