After your re-introduction with Papyrus, you were anxious to get reacquainted with everyone else. You were currently walking through waterfall--this time, with Papyrus--on your way to see Undyne. You didn't like the idea of it much, but you knew it had to be done. The faster the better. It didn't very long for you and Papyrus to get to Undyne's house. He knocked on the door, waiting patiently.

It was only a matter of seconds before the door swung open. "Oh- hey Papyrus! Are you ready for your super-private one-on-one training session?" She asked excitedly. Papyrus smiled. "YEP! AND I BROUGHT A FRIEND!" He replied, moving so that you were in view. Undyne doesn't really look at you.

"Ah, I don't think we've-" Undyne stops. Her expression fades. Oh. She looked at you. "Papyrus, do you mind if we talk inside for a second?" She asked, gesturing for Papyrus to go inside. He's still excited. You don't think he noticed Undyne's change in mood. "OF COURSE NOT! LEAD THE WAY." He said, just happy to be spending time with his friends. The two walked inside. Undyne glared at you before she closed the door.

You figured they would take a while, so you sat down on the ground. "You befriended a human?!" Undyne asks, shocked and a little upset. You weren't surprised. "YES! BUT ALSO- THEY SEEM VERY FAMILIAR. LIKE I'VE SEEN THEM SOMEWHERE BEFORE." Papyrus explained. Was there a chance that they remembered the reset? "I know what you mean. I've got a bad case of deja vu right now. I feel like I know them, but I don't." Undyne agreed.

You weren't sure if this was a good thing or a bad one. You would probably ask Sans when you and Papyrus went home. Sans was sure to know. "IT'S VERY STRANGE. SANS ACTED LIKE HE AND THE HUMAN WERE OLD FRIENDS, BUT HE TOLD ME THAT THEY JUST MET TODAY." Papyrus said, getting suspicious. Well, you knew that much wasn't good. "So, that lazy bones brother of yours is hiding things?" Undyne asked. You rolled your eyes a little. He wasn't that lazy.

"SANS IS ALWAYS HIDING THINGS," Papyrus replied. That much sounded about right to you. Sans hid a lot of things. You knew he did it to protect people, though. There was no ill will behind it. "As much as I hate to say it, we have to go get the human. I don't want them getting suspicious." Undyne said, walking towards the door. You tried to seem as nonchalant as possible. You didn't want them to know that you had been listening.

Undyne opened the door, looking down at you. "C'mon in, punk." She said, moving so you could step inside. You walked in, looking around. It was the same as you had remembered it. Undyne gestured for you to sit at the table. Papyrus had mysteriously disappeared for the time being. "Do you want some tea?" Undyne asked. Her happy sounded forced.

"If it's not too much trouble." You replied, not wanting to be a problem or piss Undyne off. That would only go bad. "Of course it's not. I'll put the water on the burner." She says, showing you a forced smile. She gets a kettle and fills it with water, placing it on the stove. Once she's done, she sits down across from you. "Y'know, I mostly keep the tea around for Asgore." She said, crossing her arms on the table.

You stayed quiet, figuring you should just listen. That would probably be better in this circumstance. "He likes to stop by. He's been lonely since he had the queen split." Undyne explained. "The guy may seem scary, but he's a big ol' softie." You listened intently, sitting with your hands in your lap. It was a little uncomfortable, but you figured it was best to be polite.

"Asgore just wants what's best for everyone, y'know?" Undyne said, shrugging a little. You nod. You supposed that meant giving up your soul was what's best for everyone. That was a weird thought. The kettle whistled from the stove. "Oh- water's done," Undyne muttered, getting up. She poured the hot water into a mug, pulling out a tea bag and setting it in there.

It was nice of Undyne to do this for you. She wasn't nearly this nice in the last timeline. You wondered if something was up. Undyne brought the mug to the table, gently placing it in front of you. That was odd. Undyne wasn't a gentle person. "There you go." She said, returning to her seat. You wondered how much longer she would keep up this facade.

"I'm not surprised Papyrus brought you here." Undyne mentioned, resting her face in her hand. "He's always had a big heart. See, he says he wants to be a part of the royal guard, but that's just too dangerous for him. That's why I give him cooking lessons. It's a chance to distract him and give him a different hobby." She explained, not looking at you. She has a realization.

"Wait. His cooking lesson was supposed to be right now!" Undyne exclaimed. You couldn't tell if she was upset or just surprised. "Well, since he's not here to have it... I guess you'll have to do!" She yelled. Oh, boy. So that's where the facade ended. You were certainly in for one hell of a ride. You should've been more careful.

It had only been about an hour. Yet, in that amount of time, you and Undyne had managed to set her entire house on fire. You looked down at the ground sheepishly. "Heh.. sorry about your house, Undyne." You muttered, feeling bad. Papyrus, who had shown up just a minute ago, nodded. "YES, IT TRULY IS A SHAME." He added. Undyne smiled. "Nah, it's all good, nerds. I'll just stay with Papyrus." She said, looking over at the two of you.

With that, all of you started walking back to Snowdin. Since the cooking lesson at Undyne's didn't go so well, the two decided they'd continue it back at Papyrus'. You weren't going to participate, though. One of those cooking lessons was enough for you. When the three of you get home, Sans is nowhere to be seen. You figure he's either at Grillby's or one of his jobs.

Undyne and Papyrus retreat to the kitchen, meanwhile, you take a seat on the couch. You turn on some MTT reruns for some background noise, allowing yourself to rest. It had already been a tiring day for you, and the day wasn't even close to over yet. Well, you figured it wasn't. You weren't quite sure, since you had no way to tell the time. It didn't matter, though. You closed your eyes and fell asleep.
