After a little bit of searching, you found Frisk. They were hiding out in waterfall. "Hey..." You muttered, not wanting to startle them. They turned around to look at you. "I'm sorry, Frisk. I overreacted." You sat beside them, looking up at the ceiling of waterfall. Frisk's hand gently brushed yours. "It's okay." They said, leaning towards you a little. Your shoulders touched. "I probably would've reacted the same if I was you." They smiled.

You felt a little better now. Both Sans and Frisk had forgiven you. That was good. Now you had no reason to feel guilty. You and Frisk sat quietly for a while. It was nice to just hang out like this. "Hey, Frisk?" You asked, turning to look at them. Their attention snapped over to you. "Hm? What is it?" They questioned. You looked forward again. "What's it like? Controlling the timelines?" You couldn't bring yourself to look at them again.

That wasn't the question Frisk was expecting. "Uhm... well, it's weird, to say the least. But convenient. If I say something wrong or mess up, I can just go back and fix it, y'know?" They explained. You wondered what you could do if you had that power. "Have you ever done that with me?" You asked, suddenly feeling insecure. Frisk shook their head. "Not once." They replied.

You were happy to hear that. "Thanks, Frisk." You said softly, leaning your head on their shoulder. You needed to rest. Frisk smiled. "Of course, (Y/N)." They answered, sitting quietly. The two of you stayed like that for a while, just relaxing and hanging out. It was pleasant. Maybe you should hang out with Frisk more often.

After a while, Frisk decided to go explore. You let them go alone, not wanting to hinder their travels. You were left with nothing to do, so you decided to go back to hotlands. Surely you'd find something to do there. Something to keep your mind off of these odd feelings you'd been having. Maybe you'd even ask someone for advice. That sounded like a good idea. You walked to hotlands, trying not to let your thoughts get the better of you.

You returned to the lab, wanting to talk with Alphys again. She seemed like someone who would give good advice. Better than Papyrus or Undyne, anyway. "S-So, what can I h-help you with?" Alphys asked, sitting down on a rotating stool. It swung to the side a little. "Well, it's... complicated. I've been having weird feelings." You tried to explain, looking down at your hands anxiously.

Alphys tilted her head to the side. The chair moved a little. She struggled to get it back into place, since her feet couldn't quite reach the ground. "What k-kind of feelings?" She questioned, leaning forward to show she was listening. The chair teetered. "I don't know. It's hard to explain. Uhm... anxiousness? I guess? Something like that." You answered, unsure of how to describe it. Alphys thought about it for a moment.

"Well, wh-when do you u-usually feel it?" Alphys asked. You considered it for a moment, trying to figure it out. "Usually it happens when I'm around a friend of mine. I uh... enjoy their company a lot, but it makes me nervous. Weird feelings surface." You said, not looking Alphys in the eyes. She nodded. "I-I see.. well, have you considered t-trying to talk these feelings out?" She questioned, doing her best to help. You shook your head. You hadn't really thought of that.

Alphys smiled softly. "Well, y-you can always talk to me! I-I'm happy to help." She said, trying to offer a solution. You were glad that she was your friend. "Okay, so... this person is really nice. Caring, too. Y'know, just overall a great person. Recently, when we've been spending time together, I've been getting nervous. My face gets hot. My palms get sweaty. I can barely think. I don't know what's going on, and I don't want to ruin our friendship." You explained, talking without thinking. You just let the words flow.

"I think what you're suffering from is called 'love', darling~!" A voice called. You jumped, searching for the source of it. A box-shaped robot stood a little ways away. "O-Oh! Sorry about him! T-That's Mettaton, one of my experiments.." Alphys explained, embarrassed. You weren't too upset. Granted, you didn't like being eavesdropped on, but you couldn't be mad at Alphys.
