Theo and Lilli sprinted down the hall away from the Gryfindoor common room.

"You fucking snakes!" Harry screamed down the hall.

Theo and Lilli laughed hysterically. They burst into their own common room clutching their chests. "It hurts, it hurts" Theo screeched.
"Ugh my chest" Lilli gripped her chest.
They were laughing so hard their chests felt like they were going to cave in.

"What have you two done?" Pansy rolled her eyes "We threw loads of dung bombs into the Gryffindoor common room" Theo could hardly get the words out.

The mood was suddenly dampened when a soggy and blood stained Astoria entered the room.

"Astoria!" Liam gasped and ran to her side "What happend?" Lilli looked terrified. Her eyes scanned the girls entire body. She was covered in scratches and bruises but the blood on her shirt didn't seem to be her own.

"I was attacked by some man in a hood" although clearly in pain Astoria didn't cry. She was bent over slightly holding her ribs.

Wand in hand Lilli started toward the door but Theo caught her wrist.

"Where do you think you're going?" Theo raised a brow "Theo, he hurt her" Lilli ripped her wrist from his grip. "Ye and he will hurt you as well" Theo said through gritted teeth
"I can handle it" She growled back.
"I already did" Astoria cut in, the group all turned to look at her "I slit his throat with Lillis knife and now he's at the bottom of the lake" Astoria said calmly, she looked like she was about to break down.

"Why did you have my knife?"
"I bring it with me when I go for late night walks, for safety" Astoria nodded.
"Is the whereabouts of your knife really your biggest question" Enzo chuckled.
"Well I mean there's nothing left to ask shes told us the story" Lilli shrugged.
"Lilli, she just killed a guy" Liam snapped.
"Theres a war coming Liam, we are going to have to get used to the idea of death" Lilli said quite matter of factly. Astoria pulled out a knife from her pocket and handed it to Lilli.
"Thanks" Lilli grinned, whipping the excess blood from her blade.

"She's right. We have to accept that we're Slytherin's, we are going to be targeted and we're going to have to pick a side" Pansy nodded in agreement.

"Dracos already taken the mark" Blaise shook his head "I don't want to choose a side" Enzo sounded really upset.
"If it comes to it, I would much rather join the order then the dark lord" Theo sighed.

"I would rather die" Lilli shrugged
"I need to go speak to someone, I'll be back soon" Lilli quickly left the room before anyone could protest.

"Professor Lupin!" Lilli burst into an empty classroom "Lillith hello, chocolate?" he outstretched his arm to offer a lump of chocolate.

Remus was visiting the school and the only people who seemed to know were the trio and Lilli.
Lilli had seen his name on the map earlier that day and was waiting for an opportunity to go see him.

"It's good to see you" Lilli smiled.
"How's the new DADA teacher?" Remus asked "Not as good as you were" She laughed.

Lilli paused for a second.

"It's coming isn't it" Lilli stuttered. Remus didn't need any more context then that.
"It feels like it did before" he sighed.
"But last time.... you lost-"
"Everyone" he finished for her. Her stomach tightened and she struggled with her words. "I don't want to lose everyone" Lilli could feel tears rising in her eyes "You won't" He smiled unconvincingly.

Lilli turned to leave but she felt a hand grip her shoulder.

"Don't join the order" Remus whispered "And don't let your friends"
"W-why" Lillis eyes widened "You would be safer to run away into the Scottish Highlands then to join, joining the order is signing a death warrant" he scowled "But Harry" Lilli started
"That's different, the prophesy"

Lilli nodded and left the classroom. Mattheo stopped her in the hall.
"Hey Lils, I got those potions notes you needed" He smiled "huh? Oh ye thanks" she took them from his hands and in the process dropped some of the sheets.

"Shit" she leaned down and started to grab them before they had a chance to fly off in the breeze.
"Hey, you seem stressed, whats up?" He put a hand on her shoulder and she jumped. He quickly pulled his hand away.
"Lils... whats going on" he sounded concerned "Nothing" she didn't even look at him she just stood up and started back down the hall.
He followed behind her pestering her to tell him what was wrong.
"Lilli, seriously stop" he grabbed her arm but she ripped it out of his grip.
"What the fuck is your deal" he shouted
"I don't want to talk right now" she shouted back at him "What did I do?" He lowered his voice when he notice the people who had turned to watch the fight unfold.

"Not everything is about you Mattheo. We aren't friends, I've no loyalty to you. There's a lot going on right now" she screamed into his face. The first time he had seen her completely drop the calm act and lash out.
"I can help you" he picked up her hand
"No! you of all people cannot help me" she shook her head. He dropped her hand and let her storm away.

"Mattheo you really need to up your game" Dylan was sat in the desk chair of his and Mattheos dorm. He was carefully spinning his wand around his fingers. Mattheo was pacing back and forth in front of him holding the back of his head.

"Shut it Liam" he snapped

"Oh come on, we were only meant to be here for a week or two. It's almost been two months, Christmas break is in a week" Liam huffed.

Mattheo flung a book across the room smashing a lamp in the corner.

"Merlin, don't destroy our furniture" Liam flicked his wand and the lamp fixed itself.

"What am I supposed to do?" Mattheo sat on the end of his bed with his head in his hands.

"You weren't supposed to fall for her, I didn't even know love was an emotion you could feel" Liam grinned

"I don't love her, I don't even like her. It's just, being around her makes me happy"
"Happy, another emotion I didn't know you could feel"
"You're not helping" Mattheo glared
"Why are you even helping him?"
"I have to" Mattheo groaned

"But he will just use her as a weapon, he'll probably kill her" Liam sat forward in his chair, he wasn't joking around anymore.
"But if he doesn't get her. It's us he will kill" Mattheo fell back onto his bed.

"I've never seen you this vulnerable" Liam walked over to Mattheos bed.
"I'm not vulnerable, shut up" Mattheo threw a pillow at him.
"Look" he paused "Don't sacrifice yourself for a girl you hardly know" Liam threw the pillow back and left the room.

"I am so unbelievably fucked" Mattheo dragged his hands over his face.

"Why's that?" Mattheo jumped at the sound of Theos voice.
"I didn't hear you come in"
"Ye sorry the door was open a little" Theo pointed at the door.
"What do you need?" Mattheo sat up.
"Just wanted to come and chill with my mate" Theo laughed "I can leave if you want"
"No stay, I need a good distraction" Mattheo smiled.
"Distraction? I have the perfect thing" Theo dug around his pocket and pulled out a bag of green leaves.
"Oh Theo, I think I love you" Mattheo joked.
"Love you to babes" Theo laughed throwing Mattheo the bag
