Mattheos Pov:Theo had snuck down to the kitchen and grabbed us some snacks.
He was lying on my floor just staring at the roof."When did we become friends?" I rolled over on my bed to look at him. This was my first time having real friends and I couldn't understand why they had welcomed me and Liam with such open arms.
"Since I invited you to the party" Theo didn't take his eyes off the ceiling.
"Why?"
"Because Blaise seemed to trust you, so I decided to trust his instincts"
"And were they right?"
"So far" Theo finally turned his head to look at me, he cracked a smiled before turning his head and staring at the roof again.
"What's wrong"
"Just thinking" his reply was slow and unconvincing. I spent years studying human body language but I lacked enough emotion or empathy to really read what a person is going through. Although unconvincing I accepted the excuse. I wasn't about to pressure him into talking about something I hardly understand.
My mind wandered off during charms, as per usual. I already knew all of this shit.
How can I get the attention of a girl who just ignores me. I couldn't get that night out of my head, the way she used such advanced magic, the way she stood up for Draco and I. How am I meant to hate someone so perfect? I could feel myself becoming weaker more.... emotional. Emotions aren't something you're allowed feel around the 'Dark Lord'. Liam was doing a better job then me. I shifted my eyes to the other side of the classroom where Liam was sat next to Astoria and Pansy. He was sticking to the plan better then me. And I was his superior.
I was dragged out of my thoughts by a sudden warm feeling on my hand. I looked down and found Lilli's pinky resting on my own. When I looked up I was met with her bright blue eyes.
"You alright?" Her smile was small but warm
"Uh ye" God I was so flustered. God Mattheo pull yourself together it's just a pinky "You sure?" She asked me again
"What do you care, we aren't friends" I snapped. Shit. She just rolled her eyes and turned her back to me. That was it, the warmth was gone and I was left alone again. When the class was over Lilli left with Theo. How could I separate them? They were like twin flames or something. I never understood love, but just looking at their friendship I felt like I was missing out on something amazing.
I watched them walk infront of me, he put his arm over her shoulders and I felt a drop in my stomach. Another emotion I couldn’t comprehend. She never let me do that. She always pushed my arm away, since day one. Litreally.
"Jealous Sanchez"
"Shut up Liam, I don't get jealous"
"Then why is your fist clenched" his laugh was smug amd annoying, is that what I sound like. Ew.
"I was just thinking about our plans later, made me annoyed" I shrugged
"I'm quite excited" I didn't reply
"Can't wait to tell your old man you're in love with the enemy'
"First off. She is not an enemy and second. I am not in love" I couldn't help but role my eyes at his comments."Sure"
First thing I saw when I entered the common room. She was sat on his lap again. I could feel myself getting annoyed again. I had to shake it off, sitting right infront of them on the couch my eyes continued to betray me and pull me back to where she was sat.
Are eyes locked and I felt my chest get tight. She smirked at me and I couldn't stop my leg from bouncing. God Riddle pull yourself together. She moved his hand slightly up her thigh. How did he not notice? How could someone possibly not notice? I had to pull my eyes away from them, focusing back on Draco who had been speaking about some stupid Harry bullshit. God he was obsessed with the guy. If he hadn't of been seeing Pansy I would've swarn the guy was gay for him or something.
