What Makes A Villain // Mattheo Riddle

Who?

The light tapping of hooves filled the quiet camp, the group sent each other some confused looks before standing up to investigate.
"Hello?" Pansy called out into the air.
"Hello, is Mrs.Gray there?" a girl's voice called back.
They turned the corner of the tents and found a tall, confident girl standing before them. "No, she's not" Draco growled "Who are you?" "Jade" the girl held out her hand "Pansy" she shook her hand. "What can we help you with" Theo sent her a weak smile "It doesn't seem like a good time" Jade looked around the group nervously. They all looked absolutely horrific.

"Don't be silly, come sit" Pansy led her over to the table "Now, what brings you here?" Blaise handed the girl some herbal tea "Well Lillith Gray sent me a letter, may I see her?" Jade sipped her tea "Unfortunately, you may not" Theo sighed "Lilli passed earlier this week" Jade gasped "Oh my god, I'm so sorry"
"It's alright you didn't know, what was the letter about?" Enzo enquired once again. Draco sat silently at the end of the table.
"She said something about having to go soon and that she needed someone to help you guys out?" Jade sounded just as confused as the group "how'd she know?" Enzo whispered "she always knew" Draco shrugged "I used to find it so annoying". "Look maybe I should leave, you guys seem to have a lot going on" Theo shook his head "No, she sent you here for a reason. She always knew what she was doing"  Theo stood up from the table and directed Jade toward an empty tent "The eleves have already set up for you and you friend here" he patted the horses neck. "I appreciate your hospitality" Jade smiled at the group "Go get settled in and then you can tell us more about the letter" Blaise handed her some towels and blankets.

"Why?" Theo dropped his head to his hands with a sigh "Should someone go tell Riddle?"Draco said in a monotone voice. He was completely emotionless since the incident, he only spoke when necessary and his tone never changed. "Get me for what" a husk voice joined the conversation "why the fuck is there a horse in the camp?" Mattheo rubbed his eyes, they were bloodshot and puffy "There's a girl here to see Lilli" Pansy helped him into a seat
"Well did you let her know she's a little late" Mattheo chuckled "Yep" Enzo nodded "But she said that Lilli sent her here knowing she was going to die" Enzo explained, he wasn't good at reading social situations. Maybe telling a mourning boy that the love of his life planned her death without telling him wasn't a very good idea. "Great" he rubbed his forehead "Well let me know how it goes" he pushed up from the table and disappeared back into his tent "Well he reacted better than expected" Blaise tried to spread some positivity but a loud shout followed by a crash from Mattheo's tent squashed that positivity pretty quickly.

After about an hour Jade came back to the table. "So what's this guys name" Theo patted the large bay horses neck "This is Rodger" she smiled at her horse "And why did you choose a non magical animal?" Enzo played with the horses forelock "I didn't" Jade laughed, she flicked her hand and two large wings appeared on the side of the horse "but I like to keep them invisible" with a flick of her hand they disappeared again "Hey! You did that without a wand" Enzo gasped "Well yes, that's why I'm here" she chuckled.
"I'm a sorcerer, I don't use a wand. Lilli wanted me here to take her place and help teach you guys wandless magic" The group looked confused "But she never taught us anything" Draco voiced their joined confusion "Well she was still learning, she was much more powerful then me. But I have the experience to teach you guys" Jades voice was so calming and easy to trust, she sounded perfect for the role.
