The darkest days

The courtyard of the school was filled with witches and wizards ready to fight. The group posted themselves all around the courtyard hiding in plain sight. Pansy and Enzo were positioned on the roof just above the entrance into the school, hidden behind two large gargoyles. Blaise blended into the crowd with Theo and Draco. Mattheo and Lilli sat up on one of the walls with an invisibility charm.

"How do you feel?" Lilli looked over at Mattheo, who seemed completely zoned out "Hm?" He didn't make eye contact "Are you sure you're okay, fighting your father?" She put a hand on his thigh "I would kill every last person on the earth for you, my father is no different. I've dreamed of this day since I was a boy" He put an arm around her shoulder.

"If you die, I'm coming with you" Lilli swallowed back a tear "No" Mattheo shook his head "People need you, our family needs you. Nobody needs me" Mattheo wiped a tear from her cheek "I need you" she choked out "Then live for me" he smiled at her, his beautiful warm smile. "This is stupid, no one's going to die" she shook her body and sat up straight "Now get in position" she clapped her hands and Mattheo smirked "I love you" he kissed her forehead and walked away along the wall.

The death eaters enter the yard behind their leader. The order and some Hogwarts students were already posted outside the door, Lilli noticed a familiar face in the crowd. Oliver, the cute boy from the ball, well isn't he in for quite a shock.

Hagrid had found and carried Harry's dead body into the courtyard. Voldemort made his way to the front of his crowd and claimed he had killed the chosen one himself. Gasps came from every corner as people whispered and talked, some even cried over Harry Potters death.

Voldemort scanned the crowd "Draco, my boy" he hissed. Draco looked around nervously "Come here, come to your family" he held out his arms.
Draco took a few steps forward as students from Hogwarts tried to persuade him to stay. He walked out of the crowd, so he stood alone. Then from either side Blaise and Theo walked up beside him. Voldemort chuckled slightly "Is this all that's left?" He looked at the three boys "Is this the big army the weapon spoke of" He smirked and lifted his wand

"AVADA–"

"I wouldn't do that if you were you" Pansy dropped down in front of the three boys and Enzo followed right after "You children don't dare threaten me?" He turned to look at his army "We out number you by thousands, you are just pawns on my chest board, and I, I am the king" as he finished his monologue he spun back around to face the five teenagers. Theo yawned mockingly at him "Are you finished?"

"The king may be the most important piece" Theo smirked "But the queen is the most powerful".
Blaise tried to hide the shock on his face at Theo's chess knowledge.

"Thats correct, yet I see no queen" He widened his eyes "Well? Where is she? Oh yes, I remember, I killed her" he laughed manically "Actually, I did" Liam walked out from the death eaters but he didn't stop, he continued across the yard and joined the other five. Even more gasps came from the crowd. They seemed to be enjoying the show.

Voldemort looked annoyed by the boys correction "Ah yes, the all powerful Lillith Gray, killed by a useless boy, the queen fell before the game began"

"Oh but the game hasn't even started" a voice came from the far wall of the courtyard, everyone turned to find who it belonged to. And their, leaning against the cold stone wall was the one and only Lillith Gray.

"No" Voldemort whispered "Yes father" Mattheo whispered into his fathers ear, Voldemort spun around to find Mattheo wasn't there. "You're going crazy father" he whispered in the other, he turned the other way to look for the boy. When he turned back around he found his son stood directly in front of him.

"Miss me" Mattheo tilted his head and smirked at his father" Voldemort reached out to grab him but he apperated to Lilli's side before his father could reach him.

Suddenly Harry fell from Hagrid's arms. The crowd gasped as the Chosen one lifted himself from the floor. Mattheo spun around to find Lilli smiling "Why do you look so happy, he's alive" Mattheo started panicking "Because I knew he wouldn't stay dead for long" she laughed "It's all going according to plan don't worry" she squeezed his hand "Now we better check on the others".

They apperated inside the castle and regrouped in the Slytherin common room. "Is it all done?" Lilli looked around the group "I've killed the snake" Enzo nodded "And I gave the crown to Ron and Hermione to destroy, they had the basilisk tooth" Pansy added.
"Very good, the last thing is to kill that noseless bitch" Lilli grinned.

Once they were back out in the courtyard they found Harry and Voldemort fighting. "You should just go finish him off" Theo pushed "I can't, Harry has to do it himself" Lilli explained the prophecy "Just sit back and let them do all the work".

A/N: I am so so so sorry for how long this took, I just couldn't motivate myself to finish this chapter or figure out how to write it properly. But hopefully I'll be more active now that it's summer and I'm not busy with school. I understand I've probably lost quite a few readers but at least I still have a few of u guys 😅❤️.
