The Problems

Everyone got up early the next day, getting on the move almost instantly. You yawned and stretched while you walked along, tucking your hands in your pockets after and settling into a comfortable position while also keeping alert for any bandits. So far it was quiet. Comforting. It was a beautiful day outside. The birds chirped, the flowers bloomed. On days like these, you could- "[Y/N]!!" hang out with Naruto. Sure. "Sup bud?" Your gaze drifted to the blonde. "How'd you sleep?" He asked. "Huh, actually... I had a strange dream.." You replied. You tried to brush it off, it was just a dream, but since he was about to ask.. "Really? What was it about?" He asked curiously. "Welp.."

You opened your eyes to a wintery forest, nothing you haven't seen before, but the territory itself felt thick with a familiar energy that you couldn't name. You walked through the snow, stepping over a large fallen branch as you did so. Your head suddenly snapped around as you sensed someone else there. "Where-" Your eyes landed on a shadowy figure. You tried to grab some kunai, but your weapons were gone. "Who are you." You demanded. "i'm coming for you, [Y/N]." The figure said before you woke up.

Naruto frowned. "That's kinda creepy, I'm glad it was only a dream!" You chuckled at Naruto. "Yeah, I am too. I would rather not have some creepy weirdo tracking me down. I mean, the guy even knew my name!" You faked a shiver. "Creepy." Naruto gave you a comforting pat on the back. "Naruto." Kakashi called, gesturing for him to go up. "Talk later, your dad wants me!" You rolled your eyes at the goof and frowned. The thing about the creep in your dream was... he felt familiar? Like you met once. It's not like you could see him though, so you don't know where you would have met him. You looked into the woods thoughtfully. Who was he? What did he want from you? He didn't sound threatening, more relieved and hopeful than anything. How did he know your name? Why were you thinking so deeply into this? It was just a dream. You should be focusing on your mission right now, you'd be reaching the desert in a few hours.

You managed to brush it off again, that dream, and now your eyes were closed as you listened intently to the sounds around you. Birds, breeze russling the leaves, flowing water, a deer grazing, a squirrel scrounging for food, the snap of a twig as humans snuck closer to them- your froze, listening, sniffing, feeling. Seventeen? No, eighteen humans, in two different teams, coming from both sides. They were still pretty far and not that powerful, but still concerning. "They are coming!" You called up to the two Sensei's. "How many and how far?" Kakashi got straight to the point. "Eighteen. They are about five or so miles out still, closing in from both directions. I don't think they are strong, their Chakra feels... untrained?" Hizuki Sensei's ear twitched. "Still, everyone keep on your guard!" She barked. "Hai Sensei!" Naruto and your team barked while Sasuke and Sakura exchanged looks of confusion. "Kakashi Sensei, you're not going to confirm [Y/N]'s claim?" Hizuki Sensei huffed. "Her senses are stronger than ours, we will when they get into range." You sighed. "You should sent Pakun to confirm. Just in case." You offered. That ought to keep those two happy. Kakashi agreed and summoned the Pug, sending him off.

As soon as Pakun had returned with confirmation everyone prepared for a fight. You were counting your kunai and shuriken as well as keeping tabs on the enemy and Team Seven. "I'm just saying, she doesn't even have ears like Hizuki Sensei, how could her senses be that good."
"Well.. she's always been like that." Naruto defended. "For as long as I've known her she's had senses stronger than any animal ever known. Even better than the Inuzuka's I'll bet!" You smiled a little at Naruto. He was such a great friend. "How far out are they now?" Kakashi asked, drawing your attention. "You could probably sense them yourself now, they are about a mile out. Both Sensei's checked and nodded. They could sense them as well. "Everyone on high alert now, they are getting close." Hizuki Sensei warned. "Protect the caravan and protect each other, no room for argument." Kakashi Sensei ordered. This time the answer was unanimous. "Hai Sensei!" You all barked, drawing your weapons and positioning yourselves on either side of the caravan for interception. Eight vs Eighteen, you were a tad nervous about how this would go, but you weren't going to back down.

They obviously planned to overwhelm your little band of ninja, because they all just burst through and started attacking. You summoned bones and weaved past fists and weapons, easily knocking them down with blows to the face or gut. You slammed a paw into someone's chest, sending them flying while your tail sent another sailing into their companions. They were definitely simple small fry. You levitated one and yeeted them into one of Sasuke's enemies that he was fighting then went to help Sakura who was having the most troubles for some reason. Again you levitated one and slammed them into their group before summoning a blaster to take out the trash. The fight in itself didn't take to long. You were nervous for nothing. [Y/N]! That was AWESOME!!" Naruto cheered. "It was really nothing.. besides! You knew I could do that, we train all the time!" Naruto laughed. "I know, doesn't make my statement any less true though!"
[Y/N], I see you've been training in your new ability." Kakashi motioned to those afflicted by your levitation ability. Your tail wagged. "Of course, anything to help make me a better ninja!" Hizuki Sensei shook her head. "We should go before they wake up."
