Barefoot on the sand, eyes on the sun slowly sinking into the wide sea. It's nothing new to me, but no one, even me, could deny how beautiful the scenery is.

The playful screams of children splashing in the water are always the sound I hear every time I step onto the shore. Those waves that have been trying to reach me wherever I stand, with the summer breeze I grew up with for a long time—a life that's nothing new, but for sure, it's been something one could ever wish for.

Those little ones called me by my nickname, but I shook my head just to tell them I couldn't go and play with them. Nakabihis na ako.

For sure, someone juststood beside me, but before I could turn my head, he spoke. "Ang ganda ng sunset, 'di ba? Kahit halos araw-araw na nating nakikita, hindi pa rin nakakasawang tignan."

"I couldn't agree more," I replied, and smiled.

He then laid his hand on my shoulder. "You really do have your mother's eyes."

"Well, unfortunately, nakuha ko naman pagkamasungit ko sa'yo, Pa."

We both laughed. It's quite true that I get mad like him; that's what they've noticed since then. Some say I'm almost 70% identical to him, in terms of behavior. But in contrast, my facial features were almost 60% the same as Ma's.

We stayed a little longer, enjoying the moment as if it'd be the last time. I will come back here, that's for sure. Sandali lang ako lilisan, at babalik rin ako.

Before we could go back to our home, I could see the rolling clouds coming upon the place from afar. Then we started hearing growling anger behind the clouds.

"Tara na, Rainer, bago pa tayo maabutan ng ulan."
