It's already less than a day before the wedding. I was preparing my things, but so many things were running inside my head. I don't even know where to start.

Hours ago, after I got home, I quickly researched Donnabelle Villamore. For all I know, Patrick only has one sibling, Ate Trisha. I have never heard about her since I met his family.

Unfortunately, I saw nothing about her in Patrick's timeline, but when I decided to visit Johen's, there I saw a picture of him with that girl named Donnabelle.

It was newly posted just an hour ago. Someone commented on the post, and I discovered that she was his ex. I think she dated Johen before the mad girl who started spreading rumors about me.

I think she's somehow related to Patrick. Maybe cousins?

What a small world indeed.

But then, I realized that I was already caught in a dilemma. Kuya Alrey warned me to stay away from Patrick. Now, Patrick's cousin just warned me to stay away from Johen. This is insane.

The next day, I was awakened by the noise coming from downstairs. I heard a few knocks on the door, and Tita Alice told me to prepare myself. I checked my phone and it's already quarter to 7. I also got messages from Johen, but I decided to ignore them all. I don't have the guts to talk with him or Patrick today. I just want to stay away from any trouble, now that the wedding is going to happen.

I was fixing myself in front of the mirror when Ate Reina suddenly went into my room. "Wow, pogi mo naman Flynn. You look good in suits."

"I can't even breathe properly. Napaka-fitting sa 'kin yung suit,"
I complained.

"Talaga ba? We can find another one—"

Aalis na sana siya nang pinigilan ko si Ate. "Ate, it's fine. I can bear with this. Tsaka wala nang oras para maghanap pa."

She was about to speak when I heard Tita Alice's voice calling my name. "Flynn, bumaba ka na."

Dali-dali akong bumaba sa hagdanan. They were already dressed. "Flynn, sabay ka na do'n sa kaibigan ng Kuya Alrey mo. Mauna na kayo do'n sa church," sabi ni Tita at nagtaka ako kung sino titutukoy niyang kaibigan ni Kuya.

"Sino po?"

"Johen daw pangalan. Sumabay ka na sa kanya, 'nak. Kami na bahala rito."

I suddenly remembered what Donnabelle told me the other day, but I couldn't refuse. It's Kuya's wedding, and I don't want him to be mad at me today. I had no choice but to go outside and greet him.

"Hey—"

"You have been ignoring my texts since yesterday. Is anything wrong?"
kaagad niyang sabi.

"Oh, about that, I didn't charge my phone. Kaya 'di ako nakareply. Sorry."

We got into his car. Hindi ako masyado makahinga sa suot ko kaya sinubukan kong luwagin ang collar at necktie ko.

"Hey, you seemed uncomfortable with your fit."

"Yeah, fitting lang yung sleeves, but I can bear with it. We have no time—"

"May extra ako sa bahay. Punta muna tayo saglit,"
sabi niya.

I tried to stop him, but he still insisted. Actually, it's still early but we have to go to the church already. He drove down the street until he parked his car in front of a small gated home.

We got off, and after he unlocked his gate, we went inside his house. It was my first time at his home, and I was quite surprised when he had plenty of beautiful flowers in his front yard garden. Johen even had to call me when I almost lost my attention. I was impressed with his gardening.

I followed him as we walked across the living area and went to his room. "Bear with the mess," he said as we entered the room.

There wasn't even a mess when I looked around. It's all neat and clean. He opened his closet and grabbed a white long-sleeved shirt. "Try this," he said as he gave the shirt to me.

"I'll be waiting outside."

He walked out and closed the door.

I started to undress myself, took off my coat and unbuttoned this uncomfortable shirt. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang mahubad iyon. The collar was choking me to death. I don't want to die in the wedding because of that. It'll be awful.

I wore Johen's shirt and fixed myself in front of his body mirror. His shirt has this good scent. Nahiya tuloy akong suotin iyon pero sakto naman iyon sa 'kin. Binalik kong suotin ang coat at lumabas ng kwarto.

"Does it fit?" he immediately asked.

"Yeah, much better."

He drew himself closer to me, with his eyes locked on mine. He leaned in and now my face is a few inches away from his neck. "What do you think of my perfume?"

"Well, I like it."

He held my hand and we went to his bathroom. In his sink, I found different bottles of perfume, gels, and hygiene items. He grabbed a bottle and sprayed it on my neck and body. "Now you smell good," he said.

"Ah, so are you saying that I didn't smell good a few minutes ago?"

"No, it's not what I meant,"
he giggled. "I mean, you smell better. You look better. Do you feel better?"

I nodded. "Yeah, better."

He looked at me once more, drawing nearer and closer to me. He raised his hand and tucked my hair behind my ear. "Now that I asked you if you feel better, can you ask me if I feel the same too?"

"Well, do you feel better, Mr. Johen?"

He smiled. "I guess, since the day that I met you, my life has been better."

His hand had already reached my nape, waiting for the moment. "Can I kiss you for once?"

I was surprised when he uttered those words. I was too stunned to answer, but it was too late when his lips landed on mine. My heart skipped a beat, for sure. I couldn't resist the urge to move my lips and drew my body closer to him—with my arms already wrapped over his shoulders.

The heat ignited a spark within me—reminding me of someone's movement over my body before. This feeling was quite familiar, as he carried me and let me sit on his sink. I was losing my control, hunger for touch when Johen started to unbutton the shirt that I borrowed from him while his lips traveled to my neck.

When he finally revealed my chest, there he travelled with his lips to my nips. I let out weak moans while his tongue played around my nip. I could feel him sucking my skin. That gave me so much pleasure.

My senses were then trying to beat the lust in my mind, until I was able to call his name. "Johen, yung wedding."

He backed away and withdrew his lips from my chest. There, he realized what we did. He looked away and heaved a sigh. "I will wait outside, I'm sorry."

He left me in the bathroom. I heave a sigh, too. Everything's escalating now. F*ck it.

After I finally fixed myself once more, I went outside the house where I saw Johen standing. "Wait for me in the car. I'll just lock everything here," he said, and I went into the car first.

I have processed everything in my mind. I have to, or else this will bother me at the wedding.

When he went in, I spoke. "Johen, we can forget everything that happened. You don't need to say sor—"

All of a sudden, he held my hand. "No. I should be held accountable for what I did to you."

He looked at me and smiled. "Will you ever give me a chance to court you, Flynn?"
