I'm back in his car, bummed.

He couldn't stop smiling, while I couldn't stop rolling my eyes and sighing. He's really glad he made me agree to go with him. I'm just doing this para mawala ang pag-alala nina Tita sa 'kin.

I'm wondering why he didn't go with them. Napaka-suspicious talaga.

"Stop it," he said, interrupting the silence between us.

"What?"

"Napapagod na ako."

"Huh?"

"Napapagod na ako kakatakbo sa isip mo."

He's been like this since I got into his car. Now, I wanted to go home. I hate this.

Look, he's years older than me, yet he acts like that. Nakakaurat. He really thinks he's funny in this state.

Finally, his car stopped and parked, but I was quite confused when I saw the entrance of a building instead of a house. "I thought sa bahay ninyo—"

Too late to realize he was out of the car when, suddenly, the door next to him opened. "Let's go before the rain gets heavy," he said, and I followed him.

Under an umbrella, we walked through the rain to the entrance. We were both greeted by the guard. I had no idea he could be so courteous, but I wish the guard knew how strange he is. We walked past the front desk and into the elevator as we entered the building. He pressed the 7 button right away, and the elevator whisked us up to the upper floors until we reached the 7th floor. Although may nakasalubong kaming mga tao, almost of the hallways were empty.

"Come in."

Before I could take another step into the room, something was biting on my pants, which freaked me out, and my scream echoed in the hallway.

"Lily!"

He ran and grabbed the tiny dog he called Lily away from me, nearly tearing the bottom part of my pants. "Seriously? You brought me here para ipakagat sa aso mo?"

Tinahulan pa ako pagkatapos akong magsalita.

"Sorry. Ganyan talaga siya kapag may bago akong bisita dito," sabi niya habang pinapatahan ang aso niya. Nagba-baby talk pa siya, which I found weird to my ears. I can see how his dog is still mad, glaring me to death.

"This is my condo. Been living here for years. Feel at home."

Neat and clean, that's how I can describe his condo. I'm surprised he managed to keep a good room, hindi kasi halata sa kanya. I just kept my amazement inside me, because I'm not in the mood to give out compliments.

I like the ambiance this room gives off, but not the owner.

I was about to sleep when I felt a presence standing beside me. "Did I tell you to sleep here?"

"Anong ginagawa mo—"

"Sleep in my room. The bed is big enough for us."

Nilagyan pa niya ako ng kumot at tinahan. "Stop treating me like a child."

"Do you want me to treat you like a baby instead?" he asked, pouting like an idiot as he tried to approach me, but I quickly pushed him away.

Bumangon ako at sinamaan siya ng tingin. He was laughing at me, but not until I spit out words from my mouth. "May gusto ka ba sa akin?"

His smile faded for seconds, staring at me blankly before he brought it back again. "What do you mean?"

This guy is clearly doing something beyond the lines. Or maybe, I'm taking this maliciously. People aren't even interested in me in school, and he might not be either. I guess I'm just tired, kaya kung ano-ano na lang pinag-iisip ko.

I shook my head and laid my body back on the bed before I covered myself with the blanket. I guess I should take a rest instead of talking with this idiot.

The next morning, maaga akong nagising dahil may morning class ako pero may problema:

Yung aso.

Nasa sahig pa talaga natulog katabi ang amo. May pa 'the bed is big enough for us' pero sa sahig pala ang bagsak.

"You're awake?"

"Yung aso mo.

He wrapped his arms around his dog before I decided to jump out of bed and prepare myself. I took clothes from my bag and went to the shower room.

"Breakfast's ready," sabi niya sabay hikab.

"Uhm, this isn't necessary."

"Well, they told me to take care of you. Eat or magsusumbong ako kina Auntie?"

I swear to God, I don't want my mornings to be ruined by this.
