Awakened by the light upon us shining through the window curtains, I opened my eyes and his face was the first thing I saw. He was silently sleeping on my side. I couldn't help myself but to watch him breathe. That was the first time I started to notice every detail on his face.

"Enjoying the view?"

To my surprise, he spoke all of a sudden.

"How do you feel right now?" he asked.

I took out all of my emotional baggage that I was keeping for a long time. Siguro may natira pa. But, I won't deny the fact that I was feeling better after it happened.

"Better," matipid kong sagot.

He gently stroked my hair with his hand, and a smile was painted on his face. "I'm here for you. I will never get tired of reminding you."

For a short moment, I felt a genuine happiness but it later faded into a sudden fear. I know, I'm starting to hold onto him, but if they found out about us, things would get much worse. "Natatakot ako, Patrick. Maraming bagay ang nakaabang sa atin pagbalik natin."

"Kung ayaw nila sa atin, we can run away. Lalayo tayo. I promise, I will never let you go now that I have you," he said.

"Promises are meant to be broken."

"But my heart will forever be yours, Flynn. That's what matters the most."

His hand travelled to mine and our fingers intertwined. He couldn't help himself but to kiss my lips for the nth time. "Your lips are addictive."

He stared at me and threw a giggle. "You're blushing."

It was too late to realize. I pushed him away and got out of the bed. I ran quickly to the bathroom and slammed the door.

I just stood in front of the mirror, staring at my own reflection and reprocessing my thoughts, but all I see in my head was him. My heart was racing when I thought of him, wondering if I have started falling for him.

This attachment is something I've been avoiding in the first place, and now, I couldn't seem to find any escape from this.

Last night, I thought he wanted to have sex with me, but I was wrong. It was a false alarm, and that sh*t was embarrassing.

Patrick is weird, but why do I like him?

Fvvk it.

After I took a bath, I immediately went to the bedroom and put on clothes. When I went outside the room, a fragrant smell coming from the kitchen got me hungry quickly. Then I saw him preparing for our breakfast.

"Breakfast's ready!"

Tinignan ko ang niluto niya. His kitchen skills is quite impressive, and I can't help myself watching him. Just before he could catch me, I took a seat and waited for him. He took off his apron and took the seat across mine.

We took our breakfast together. He was silent the whole time.

It kept raining until midday. Patrick was busy with his calls, so I went down the cabin again, straight to the cafe cabin—more like a beer house, when I walked in. And, almost every table is shared by two.

I sat on a counter stool and scanned the menu. I was about to choose what to order when someone sat on the seat beside mine and spoke. "Hi! Are you alone here?"

It was girl. "No," matipid kong sagot.

"Oh, but are you interested to join with us? We will have a camp fire tonight. You can bring your friends na kasama mo, you know, the more the merrier!" aya niya at inabutan ako ng papel.

I was about to ask some questions but she disappeared. Hindi ko namalayan ang pag-alis niya. That was strange.

Another one spoke but this time, it was the counter server. "Can I take your order, sir?"

"One glass of raspberry juice, please."

I waited until my order was served. Hindi naman ako interested, maybe I could tell him about this.

"Hi," another girl sat beside me.

"Hello."

"Pansin kong mag-isa ka lang."

I showed her the paper the girl gave me earlier. "Is this about the campfire?"

"Nope," she said and offered her hand for a handshake. "I'm Danica."

I was about to take her hand when someone took it instead. "He's mine."

The girl just dropped her jaw after he said it in front of me, and her reaction was funny. "Oh, oh, I see," she stuttered in surprise.

"I guess, enjoy your stay here," sabi niya at iniwan niya kami sa counter.

"So you're hitting with someone else, huh?" agad niyang sabi sa akin.

"I'm not even interested with you in the first place, why would I entertain someone else?"

Bigla na lang siyang lumapit sa akin, another attempt for a kiss. "We are in a public place, can you please calm your ass down?"

That sh*t was embarrassing.

"You owe me a kiss."

"Shut up."

"So you're invited pala."

"As if I'm interested to go," I said and took a sip from my raspberry juice. It tastes so good, by the way. Tamang-tama lang yung timpla, enough to forget all the things in my life.

Not until the midterms came into my mind all of a sudden. "Kailan ba tayo uuwi ha? Nakalimutan mo sigurong nag-aaral pa ako. I have to go back to the university."

"Tomorrow, maybe. Tinawagan rin ako nina Tita Alice kanina. That's why I'm here to ask you something before we leave this place."

"What?"
