With a lot of doubt, what if's, and negativity. I chose to stay. I chose to let my passion live within myself. I chose to reach my dream, once more. It's not- never too late to continue pursuing your dream- dream once again.
"I see, you're a registered nurse... and, you're applying for the position of assistant producer or assistant director?" The hr told me, it looks like I know where this is heading.
"We regret to inform you that you are not qualified." I sighed, this isn't the first time I got rejected. All their answers are the same. I do not have a degree on films, or bachelor in media communication, or any course related to media.
I was walking out in this broadcasting station with a heavy heart again. "Iba talaga pag nakatapos ka." I went back to my car and drove off to my condo. But I wasn't expecting a guest.
"Kuya," bungad na sabi ko nang sabihin sa 'kin na may naghihintay sa 'kin. Agad naman siyang tumingin sa 'kin.
It's been awhile since I last saw him. "You're back." He sounded in relief, with those teary eyes.
I invited him inside my condo, it looks like he's going to say something important.
I gave him a cup of coffee and seat in front of him. His eyes were roaming round my condo. "There's a little change I see." I smiled at him, that's what I need. A change.
"How are you doing? I received your letter a month ago." I nod my head. "I'm moving out from the Asians Hospital. Ililipat ako sa Mendez Medical" I heard that there are more benefit on Mendez Medical, mas mataas rin ang sweldo.
"Why are you here pala?" I asked him, he handed me an invitation.
A wedding invitation...
I looked at him, "You know Maya really values family. She's a family-oriented person. We're getting older and older. We both believe that it is the right time for us to get married." He stated as I nod my head.
"Yeah." Pag sangayon ko. As I opne the invitation it's just names written, wala man lang pictures!
"Sana makapunta ka."
"I will." I told him and smiled at him, I didn't expect that he'll be shock with those teary eyes. He can't help but to cry in front of him.
"I thought you wouldn't say no." I gave him a short chuckled and gently tapped his back.
"Kuya, wala ka namang kasalanan, e. Besides I'm really genuine okay." I assured him, that I'm really okay. Pinoproblema ko lang ang career ko ngayon.
"If you're worried about our parents. It's okay, there's nothing you don't need to worry about. Dad already retired three months after you left. And, he's really mad about mom they went to the point to have a divorce... but now, they're okay. Mama has been regretting. No pressure. Kahit hind mo sila kausapin they will understand. " He explained.
"Kuya bakit ganito wedding invitation mo? Ampanget wala man lang pictures." I rolled my eyes which made him giggled.
"Right I almost forget. We'll hire you as our photographer. We'll have a pre-nup shoot on the first week of august. You still have two more weeks." I blinked for a couple of times.
"Ako?" pag turo ko sa sarili ko. Kuya nod his head.
"We saw your photography skills. Before you even posted it on the page Finn showed me." My brows furrowed "Finn?"
"Yeah, you're friend from switzerland. I saw him handed your letter to the head nurse. I followed him and introduced my name. Don't worry I didn't ask where you are." I know, I know.
