"Ha?! Sige punatahan ko na." Nagmamadali kong sabi. Mabuti nalang at nasa opisina ako madaling makapunta sa Mendez Medical. Habang papunta ako ay tumwag rin sa 'kin si Zj. I even called the whole squad. May important meeting pa si Thala no'n.
[Punyemas asan na bakasi si Chard?] Sabi ni Eisen sa kabilang linya.
"The hell, magkasama sila ni James sa isang pulo yata? dahil sa project. Baka walang signal." I sighed, as I park my car.
Nagmadali na rin akong bumaba nang makita kong maraming mga reporter ang nasa labas. "Andami namang mga reporter dito, hospital po 'to." I sighed, habang naka on call pa rin kami ng squad.
Hindi naman ako empleyado dito kaya wala akong karapatan pumunta sa parking for the employees. SInuto ko ang black kong sumbrelo.
"Sige na, I'll keep you posted. Bye." Sabi ko at inend na ang tawag. I dialed Kelay's number, mabuti nalang at sinagot niya agad.
"Nandito na 'ko sa parking sa unahan. There are a lot of reporters. Hindi kinakaya ni kuya guard." I gave her a soft chuckle. Kelay helped me to go inside, I'm sure that those reporters are for Kylie. They actually don't need to do that because Kylie herself is a head reporter. But it will be too painful for her. i hope that baby is alright.
"What happened?" I asked the doctor while Kylie is still a sleep. the doctor gave me a sad smile, it looks like the baby didn't made it. I felt a vibration on my pocket.
[Tangina, ano nangyari sa asawa ko?!] natatarantang bungad niyang sabi. Npalakad pa ang sabi nito kaya medyo inilayo ko ang phone ko.
"The hell, Chard ang lakas ng bosses mo baka magising si Kylie." Mahinahong sabi ko at tumayo, takot magising si Kylie.
[Fuck, papunta na ako.] Sabi niya nang ikuwento ko ang nangyari.
"The hell, Chard. If you're going to drive ilocos to manila it will take you 4-5 hours I think. Puyat ka pa yataa." I sighed "Take your time, bukas pa naman i d-discharge si Kylie. plus the squad will be going here after work."
[I'll se what I can do, Thank You Ashey. I know it's working hour, and you're there."] I gave him a soft chuckled
"Parang sira naman 'to. Others ka ba. Besides, may ibang pakay ako dito sa hospital." I smiled, kahit hindi naman niya nakikita.
Knowing Chard, I don't know when he'll be here. I was about to read, when the door open I thought it's a nurse but it's Zj- Doctor Mendez.
"What's up?" I asked him with a smile, He gave me a bottled water. I'm sure he knows I'm tired. Hindi naman ganoon kalayo ang alabang dito.
I gave him a soft smile as I leaned my head on his shoulder.
He understood the assignment.
"Are you sure you don't want to be in the spotlight, again? Andami mo nang ni reject na indorsement." He told me, I looked at him as I shook my head.
"I'm done with that spotlight thing. It isn't my thing anymore. I'm done with that phase, I guess this is what you call memory already?" I gave him a soft chuckle. Both of us almost rise up from our seat dahil sa biglang pagbukas ng pinto ni Chard.
"Akala ko ba kasama ka ni James?" I asked Chard, nagmadali siya. His tears were about to fall in any second.
"Are you alright?" Zj asked him, he nod his head and looked at his wife. Napa sapo siya. I gently tapped his shoulder.
