Gaya ko ay hindi rin siya makapaniwala. "What are you doing here?" He asked while I'm still here at the corridor, hindi pa rin ako nakakapasok sa loob.
"I have something to get here." I told him, and avoided his gaze. Tumabi rin ako dahil baka gusto na niyang umalis. I'm sure he's on his way out of kuya's room.
"Me? I dropped by a patients chart." He told me as If I'm interested.
"I'm not asking." I lowkey rolled my eyes, as I heard him chuckled.
Someone scoffed from behind, it was kuya. I rolled my eyes a him. "Late na nga ako, late ka pa rin." I told him.
"I was in the o.r" He told me and looked at Dr. Mendez.
I wouldn't deny that he stand tall and proud on what he achieved already. Time flew fast, he has become the doctor he dreamt of. While me, I don't really know... but I'll soon stand proud of what I have come, it's going to be a long way. But I'll get there.
"I dropped by another patient's chart. You can start scheduling his heart transplant." Dr. Mendez told my brother as he just nod his head.
"Bakit para kayong mag ex na nag aaway?" Siniko ko si kuya nang makapasok kami sa office niya. I'm sure Dr. Mendez heard that dahil medyo malakas ang bosses ni kuya kahit bulong lang naman 'yon.
"Doc you have a patient." Sabi ni Dr. Mendez kaya napa lingon kami sa kaniya.
"Tell my nurse to come when my sister leaves." Kuya told me and handed me the boxes. there are three different sized of box.
"Ano 'yang mga 'yan?" I asked and open. It's their gift from one another since college.
"Grabe tinatago niyo ang mga ganito?" I asked with amusement. Antagal-tagal na ng mga ganito, yet they still keep it with them.
"And, regarding the schedule. Are you free next week? May important meeting kasi si Maya next-next week." He explained as I nod my head.
"Kalma, gusto niyo bukas na e. You are my first client." I told him. Since wala rin naman akong gagawin, and my business is ready to film. Kaya sa friday nalang kami mag sh-shoot until Monday. We'll not just go to the hospital but we'll also go to batanes, dahil doon ang hometown ni ate Maya.
I carried this three boxes. "Kaya mo ba? Pwede naman kita tulungan hanggang sa parking lot." Kuya volunteered but I refused kuya has an ongoing patient. I know what it feels to wait for the doctor.
As soon as I arrived home, I went to the studio to check out the boxes but Lawyer Belgica called me regarding the franchise of all the editing apps I will be using. It's all approved now. Photos and clips na lang talaga ang kailangan and a lot of clients.
The next day I told the person in charge to let Christian Mendoza go to my unit.
Just exact in time he arrived.
"Mr. Mendoza." pagbati ko sakaniya pero natatawa pa siya!
Pinaupo ko siya at unabutan ng kape. I scanned his resume. His resume is more than good, I'm sure a lot of companies are looking for a skills like he has.
"You worked at ABN company for two years, and your current job is at LMO company." I told him, their a huge company and would offer a lot of money and benefits.
"Why did you quit your job?"
"My dream before is to work with you, but then I realized that the field is too broad. Little did I know that dream of mine before is still my dream today." He told me with whole heartedly.
"You quit your job to reach your dreams?" I asked as he nod his head.
"Did you know that your work before is better than mine? You work with a huge company, with a lot of money and benefits. Don't expect that I'll be the same as them." I saw amusement in his eyes, para bang mangha na mangha siya sa sinabi ko.
