Day 30: Lawyer

Mr. Ariano (Lawyer)

Clifford's POV

"Rise and shine, baby." I said and Jake just woke up from his sleep. He look so cute when he is sleeping, i took a cup of water and gave it to him.

"Hindi mo naman kailangan na alagaan mo ako sa totoo nga ako dapat ang aalaga sayo pagkatapos ng nangyari sayo." Sabi niya pero napangiti nalang ako, i sat beside him and hold his cheek.

"I got a responsibility to protect you from harm, i love you so much and i dont want anyone to hurt you." He continued to drink the water i just gave.

"You know, all this case thing is getting in the center of our relationship. But i think after we finish this case we will start focusing on us." I said and slowly engaging my face to his and was about to kiss him but then Kirt just ruined the moment.

"May lawyer sa labas ng bahay, hinahanap si Clifford." Sabi niya at agad namang umalis, i look at Jake again and he look at me and kiss me.

"Mamaya na muna yung lambingan, uunahin muna natin yung problema." Sabi niya at umalis na, i just smiled and went down with him and i saw the lawyer my parents sent.

"Mr. Ariano, im so glad that you can help us with this case." I told him and he came inside, Jake look at me with a confuse face but i just pinch his cheek.

"Bakit may lawyer?" Tanong niya at agad ko namang pinakita yung text ko sa parents ko.

"My parents called and i told them that i need money and a good lawyer and then they gave it to me." Sabi ko at napatingin muna siya sa lawyer bago tumingin ulit sakin.

"Bakit mo ginawa yun?"

"To help you, i want this case to be over. We all have the evidence we need to prosecute the Mayor and end this threat to you and our lives." Sabi ko at dun pa niya narealize yung sinabi ko at napayakap naman sakin.

"Ano kaya ang magagawa ko kung wala ka?" I hugged him back and we both talk to the lawyer and suddenly a stone was thrown outside the door.

Jean went outside and look around, he went back but the throwing continued and Jean had enough and went outside and started shouting.

"SA MGA BOBO NA NAGTATAPON NG BATO SA HARAP NG BAHAY KO, POTANGINA NIYO!" Sigaw niya at napatawa naman sina Gian at Kirt. Kenny arrive with some files and he gave it to us.

"Kaninong lawyer to?" Tanong ni Kenny at agad namang nagbigay ng card si Mr. Ariano.

"Ariano, lawyer for 14 years." Napatango nalang si Kenny at agad namang binuksan ni Jake yung files at puro words lang at mga pictures.

"The pictures and evidence that we have has been leak by Sanchez and it was a great hit, The whole community is now on a rally infront of the Kapitol." Sabi niya at agad naman niyang kinuha yung remote at pina-andar yung TV.

"In the Kapitol, the rally has become more dense and a rally never seen before, after a leak information had spread to social media." Tinignan ko si Jake at mukhang natutuwa siya sa nakikita niya. I can't say the same to Kenny though, he looks like he wants to throw a party.

"In the leak information from a website states that the Mayor was the head of the operation of killing the Santiago family and still threatening the child of June Santiago, it has the evidence and all the pictures that where capture by the Santiago themselves." The reporter continued to talk but a sudden gunshot was heard from the background and everyone started running.

"This is going out of hand, its just like what happened during your father run for office." Sabi ni Kenny. "We need to get you to somewhere safer." Suggest ni Mr. Ariano tapos bumalik nanaman yung pagtatapon ng bato sa harap ng pinto.

Hindi muna pinansin ni Jean yun pero nung lumakas yung pagtapon ay agad ng lumabas si Jean. Nakita namin na may isang malaking bato na nakabalot ng papel sa harap ng pinto tapos nung may putok ng baril agad naman niyang sinara yung pinto.

"Fuck not again." Sabi ni Kirt at agad naman kaming pumunta sa likod ng bahay.

"We need to get to Sanchez." Sabi ni Kenny at agad naman siyang naglakad papunta sa kotse niya.

"Fuck this man, Jean, Gian, Kirt. You three take my car and go to the office of the Vice Mayor while me, Jake and Mr. Ariano will go to Kenny." I told them and they also followed. While the front of the house was being shot we got to the back of the house and started to get inside. The plan was getting to well and i thought that it was going to be easy but--

"Stop! Labas niyo si Santiago at walang mababaril." Sabi ng isang police at agad namang napatingin si Kenny.

"Alam ko nga na sangkot ka sa krimen na ito Jill." Sabi niya at agad naman akong napatingin kay Jake na mukhang natatakot.

"Bakit may baseball bat ka dito Kenny?"

"May nahuli akong lalake na nagnakaw ng isang baseball bat sa isang store at hindi ko pa naibalik."

"Ilabas mo yan Kenny, because you are already fired." Sabi ni Jill at agad namang kinuha ni Jake yung baseball bat.

"Bago ako lalapit sa kanya, itapon mo papunta sakin ito at pagkatapos nun ako na bahala." Sabi ni Jake pero hindi ako sigurado.

"Sure ka ba dyan?"

"Trust me." Huminga ako ng malalim at napatango nalang.

"Ito na!" Sigaw ni Jake habang naglalakad papunta kay Jill.

"Good, sabi ko sayo Kenny. Hindi mo matatapos itong kaso na ito at ikaw Santiago, ikukulong kita hanggang mamamatay ka sa gutom!" Pagmamayabang niyang sinabi at mukhang naiinis na si Kenny pero pinigilan ko siya.

"Now!" Sigaw ni Jake at agad kong tinapon yung baseball bat sa kanya at nung nakuha niya ay agad niyang hinagis sa mukha ni Jill. Nabitawan niya yung baril niya at agad naman nung kinuha ni Jake at binaril yung dalawa niyang kamay.

What the fuck?!

"Pasok na kayo bilis!" Sabi niya at agad naman kaming umalis habang si Jill ay napasigaw sa sakit.
