You Found Me

Chapter 40

"Hi Luke." She replies softly. He turns to face me in disbelief.
Then, as everyone silently observes what happens next, the most unpredictable motion came.
Luke ran towards her and lifted her feet off the ground. He twirled her around in a circle, before connecting their lips at last and holding each other close.

The entire room clapped and stood in awe at the reunion. They both turned to me and mouthed a thank you before heading off somewhere, probably to talk things through I presume.

"Well that certainly worked out well, didn't it?" Ashton grinned at me.

"I personally thought it was too sappy. But adorable. I need a drink." Michael added before wandering off. He's obviously a little buzzed already.

As for me, I went out back by the fire and took a seat next to some friends. We chatted and played games. But as the party went on, I became more tired and tired. Although I wanted to stay out longer, I figured I'd go settle down in my own room.

I walked upstairs and opened my door and was greeted with some strange couple making out on my dresser.

"Sorry to interrupt, but get out!" I commanded. The man and woman left rapidly, and I went into the bathroom to shower.

As I stripped my clothes off, I felt some kicks in my stomach. I took a moment to look at myself in the mirror.

In just a few weeks, I'm going to be a mother. I'm going to have two children to watch over. I'm going to be responsible for two more lives. And I don't know how I'm going to do it.

Before my mind could think too far in advance, I got into the warm shower and relaxed. Afterwards, I changed into a pair of comfortable pajamas and crawled into bed.

I read a book for little and then went on Twitter also.

Some girls asked me how the pregnancy was going. Others asked about the boys. There was the usual flow of hate as well. I was tagged in photos of Ashton and I that I saved to my phone. And when I didn't even notice, my boyfriend slipped into my room.

"This party turned out to be amazing babe. You're amazing." He cuddles up next to me.

"Thanks, but you helped too." I kissed his forehead and put my phone down on the bedside table.

"I can't wait to be a dad. I promise I'm going to be there for them. I refuse to turn into the man my father was." He whispers.

"I know Ash. I know." I smile and pull him closer as I drift off to sleep.
