You Found Me

Chapter 24

~Michael's POV~

2 weeks. 2 whole weeks she has been in this freaking coma. I have to say it has been a pretty rough 2 weeks. Calum and I are missing our best friend. Pizza nights aren't the same without her. No more food fights and video game challenges. She's made it much longer than the doctors expected. But she won't wake up from the damn coma.

Luke has been an emotional wreck over this. He's only known his sister for under a year and is already so portective. It's so sweet to see him care about her, but without that brilliant smile of hers there is nobody to be overprotective of. 

Then there's Ash. I've never seen him so down in the dumps. Normally he'd be making a keek or banging away on the drums. Now he just sits there. He just sits and eats a minimum amount of food. No giggles slipping, no smiles beaming. Silence. 

We vowed to stop visiting her every single day to try and produce music so fans will be happy. But here we are agin, sitting in the same monochromatic room. The same four walls surrounding us. Everyone is out getting some lunch. I volunteered to stay and watch Kaitlyn. I never realized how precious she is until now. Her young face so blank and lost, holding a soul too young to be killed off. 

As I turn to stare out into the blue sky and busy streets of Australia, I take a deep breath. And in that exact moment a faint beeping grew intensely from the bed behind me. I whip around and spot the moniter next to her bed beeping like crazy. Panicking, I clamp down on the nurse button. 2 nurses and a doctor pace quickly in, knowing that something is serious.

"WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HER?" I scream and feel warm tears falling down my cheeks as they unlock the wheels on her cot. I didn't realize I was crying until now.

"She's having trouble waking up, but hell she's trying alright." The doctor pats me on the back and pushes my best friend away to some new section of the hospital. 

"Mate?" I turn around and see a very confused and heartbroken looking Luke. Besides him are Ashton and Cal. 

"The doctors said that she was trying to come out of the coma. I don't know where they took her I'm sorry." I ran into Luke and he hugged me tightly.

For the next few hours we sat in the waiting room for news. Earlier a nurse came to us and said something that has been on my mind for a while now.

"We are running some tests and doing our best to guide her out of the state. But be prepared for the worst. This is do or die, no in between."

A/N- GUYS I FINALLY UPDATED!!!!!!!!!! I'm not gonna use any excuses I've just been extremely busy but I'm going to update as much as I can before my mom takes the computer away! The next chapter is a bit confusing and intense...bear with me love you all!!!!!
