You Found Me

Chapter 5

~Kaitlyn's POV~

I got home from the concert around 1 in the morning. The actual show ended around 10:00 and then Luke and I talked till about 11 and then I met Ashton, Calum, and Michael, who begged me to stay and hang out. Then I had to drive home and it's around 1 in the morning now.

I unlock my front door and walk in.

Simba is asleep on the floor by the television and I don't wake him up. I just climb into bed and get some sleep.

When I wake up, I look like a mess. My clothes are twisted on me, makeup from last night is smeared all over my face and my hair is in a big knot. It's going to be a rough morning. Or afternoon, I think, seeing that the time is 12:45. I take a quick shower and get myself together. Once I'm all cleaned up, I check my phone.

Luke

Hey umm I have to talk to you about something

Ash

Hey wanna come hang with us again today

Mom

Hi sweetie how was the concert?

The last text angers me. But first I respond to Ash and Luke.

Hey Ashton! Umm I need to talk to my "mom" but after that sure! What time?

I hit send and started the next one.

Hey bro! Umm I might meet up with you guys later so we can talk then

I hit send again right as Ashton replies saying 4.

Finally I decide to call my adoptive mom. The rings begin to annoy me and after 4 rings she finally answers.

"Katie! Hey how was the con-"

"YOU LIAR! YOU THOUGHT I WOULDN'T FIND OUT? MY WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE BECAUSE OF YOU!"

The burst of anger came out of nowhere and just like that I hang up on her and ignore the following 12 texts she sends.

Around 4 I hop in my car and go meet the boys. They told me to come to the stadium from last night. When I park, a big man walks up to me.

"Are you Kaityln?"

"Yes."

"Follow me."

I follow the man backstage and immediately recognize it from last night.

I open a door and inside all 4 of them are sitting there waiting for me.

They all grin widely as I take a seat on the couch next to Luke and Calum. Ashton sits on a bean bag chair and Michael is just sitting on the floor.

"Kaitlyn can we talk to you about something?" Luke looks at me sincerely.

"Anything." I warmly smile.

Everything has changed in one night and I couldn't be happier.

"Well we were wondering since now we know everything, if you'd like to come on tour with us and then come live with us in Australia."

My eyes go wide. I hadn't really thought about how this would affect my life. After finding out something that big we can't just go back to our usual lives.

"Are you serious?"

They all nod and smile at me.

"I'd love to!" I laugh and hug each and every one of them.

"Hey why don't we do a livestream guys!?" Michael asks. We all agree and Ashton pulls up his computer. Within a few minutes we are connecting and already have several thousand viewers.

The comments scroll super fast and I manage to see a few.

"Erm, hey guys! It's 5SOS here with a very special guest!" Ashton announces.

I see millions of comments saying,

Who's the girl?

Is that your girlfriend?

Noooo!!!!

B**** back off of my men!!!

The list goes on and on. As if Luke feels like they're getting to me, he squeezes my hand reassuringly. Now it's his turn to speak.

"Well just a little bit ago I found out about this lovely girl right here. Everybody this is actually my sister, Kaitlyn!"

I smile and wave towards the camera. More messages flush in asking about me. Some hate, some nice ones, some people don't even care.

For the next hour we just fool around and answer some questions. Most were directed at me. I didn't mind though. This was something I would have to get used to now.

We finally ended the live chat around 6. Luke called in a pizza and we munched down on it for a good half an hour.

"Well, I should probably be heading out now." I say and grab my bag.

"I'll walk you out." Ashton volunteers quickly and stands up next to me.

He almost seems, anxious? I ignore it and just smile.

"Bye boys! Text me about the whole, tour and moving to Australia thing." They all wave and Ashton leads me out.

"Today was really fun." He tries to make small talk.

"Yeah it was."

And then we were silent. We finally reached my car and I turned to face him.

"Thanks for walking me out here."

"It's no problem."

The sun was setting on the horizon. It looked beautiful on the pavement here. I opened my car door and dropped my bag inside and then faced Ash once more.

"Thanks again. I really did have a nice day."

He giggles and we go I go in to kiss his cheek. Apparently he had the same idea in mind though and we both turned into each others lips instead.

I quickly jumped back from the kiss. Ash ran his hands through his hair.

"I'm sorry Katie." He says and starts to walk away.

"Ashton, wait." I grab his hand and pull him back in, before placing my lips on his again. But this time we mean it. And it is pure bliss.

I wave and hop into my car before driving off, marveling at what just happened.
