You Found Me

Chapter 6

~Kaityln's POV~

The next day I wake up around 9:30. Calum texted me and told me to pack for the move. He said someone would come pick me up later since if I want to come with them, we have to leave today.

I get a text from Ashton when I'm eating breakfast.

Hey Kaitlyn miss you!

I smile and think back to what I did last night. We kissed. I kissed him. And I loved it. At the moment, I don't know what to make of our little secret smooch. I don't know where it came from or why it happened, but something tells me it was meant to happen. I brush it off and go to my room to begin packing.

I grab all my clothes and throw them into 2 huge suitcases since they won't fit in 1. Then there's my shoes, makeup, and hair stuff in another bag. Lastly, I find the most important stuff to me.

My baby blanket and pillow.

My photo album with my best friends.

My favorite books, Paper Towns and the Divergent series.

And lastly my dance shoes. I've had them for so long and dance means everything to me. I had to bring these.

Lastly I have my purse. A pack of gum, my phone, my wallet, Chapstick, and tissues.

By the time I'm finished with that, it's noon. I sit down to relax right as my phone begins to ring.

As soon as I answer I hear Paige's high pitched scream fill my ear.

"KATIEEEE!!!!"

"Hi Paige."

"Want to meet up at Nandos for lunch?"

"Yes of course I actually need to tell you something important."

"Great see you there soon!" Just like that she is gone. Oh that girl!

Half an hour later I'm at Nandos eating lunch with my best friend.

"Great so what did you need to talk to me about?" She asks before taking a bite of her chicken.

"Erm...okay I'm just going to be straight forward...Luke Hemmings is my brother and I'm moving to Australia with his band."

Her face goes from smily and happy to a dull, shocked look.

"No seriously Kaitlyn what is it?"

I nod.

"I just told you Paige."

"WHAT?!?!" She screams, without a care in the world what the people around us think.

We discuss it for a while and I tell her we can hang out and video chat almost all the time. But then she mentions Simba. I don't know if I'm allowed to bring my kitten with me. Paige offers to take care of him and I gladly take her up on it. It's only temporary of course.

We say our goodbyes and I head back home. Around 2 o'clock a guy came to my flat and drove me to a bus. I bring all my belongings inside the bus and find 5 Seconds of Summer just sitting there.

"SHE'S HERE!!!!" They all shout and do small dance moves in their seats. I can't help but laugh as they make fools of themselves.

Luke walks up to me and wraps his arms around me tightly. I return the squeeze and then release.

"Have you talked to Patty? She called me and told me to make you call."

I groan and pull my phone out. Might as well get it over with.

"Where's the bathroom?" Michael points down a narrow hallway and I follow it and find the restroom on the right.

Dreadfully, I dialed Patty's number.

"Kaitlyn?" I hear her voice and I immediately tear up.

"I'm sorry for ignoring you. I'm just upset that you kept this from me."

This time I hear Dan speak.

"I know sweetie. We just thought it was for the better and now we see that we were wrong."

"Dan." I take a deep, shaky breath.

"I assume you've heard I'm moving to Australia with them?" They say that they heard and are happy for me. We sorted everything out surprisingly easily. Finally the call came to an end and I went back out to the main room.

Everyone was still in the same spot so I sat next to Ash on the sofa. Eventually we made eye contact.

Then he slipped his hand into mine.

Lord, what has happened to my life?
