Chapter 10

~Luke's POV~

Kaitlyn was upset with Ashton earlier so I've decided to talk to him. I sent Katie back to the bus to get some rest and then set off to find my bandmate. I quickly found him adjusting something on his drum set.

"Hey mate." He smiles when he sees me walking towards him.

"Ash what are you doing with my sister? She's upset that you keep following her and trying to get with her. Is this true?"

I see his Adam's apple move as he swallows.

"Err, yeah. I'm sorry." He awkwardly stands up and takes his focus off of the drums. "It's just that I really like her, and we kissed, and so I thought she liked me back, but I guess not."

He scratches his scalp in confusion and I take a deep breath.

"Ashton I'm fine with you liking my sister. And if you want to date her then I guess I'll allow you to. But you can't keep this mysterious thing going on because its really bothering her and I can't stand seeing her upset."

He smiles at me and pulls me into a large hug.

"Thanks bro!" He giggles and starts to walk past me.

"Oh yeah Ashton?"

"Mhmm?"

"If you hurt her, you're in some serious trouble. Period. No excuses."

He nods and continues his way out.

I smile and mentally pat myself on the back for taking care of my sister.

~Ashton's POV~

I can't believe Luke actually allowed me to date Katie. As of right now I'm heading over to the bus to talk to her. Hopefully things go well.

I knock on the door before entering.

Calum and Michael are sitting on the couch playing some video game.

"Hey lads where's Kaitlyn?" They nod towards the back of the bus and I thank them before making a beeline for my love.

"Kat?" I whisper into her bed. For a second I think she's asleep, but then her privacy cover slides open and I see her crystal blue eyes stare deep into my hazel ones.

"Yes Ashton?" She flips her hair behind her shoulders and purses her lips as I think of what to say.

"Err, Katie I'm sorry for the way I've been acting around you. I completely understand if you want nothing to do with me, but I just think you should know that I am falling deeply for you. You're beautiful and I've never felt so attached to someone and I just want to be there for you and make you smile and laugh all the time. So Kaitlyn Hemmings, will you be mine?"

She sits back and I can see her mind swarming with thoughts. I can practically hear the sound of the clock ticking and it's killing me.

Without even seeing it coming I feel a soft pair of lips smashed against mine and open my eyes to see her beautiful face next to mine.

She lets go of me and takes a deep breath before whispering three words that made my heart skip a beat.

"Of course Ashton."

I smile and crash my lips into hers once more. In the background I hear Michael and Calum making kissy noises.

"Awww Ashton and Kaitlyn sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage-" Calum chants.

He's cut off by Ashton tackling him into his own bed.

We snuggle for about an hour and talk about our interests. So far things have been running quite smoothly. I can tell she's happy with me and this relationship. I couldn't be more grateful.

"Want to go get some dinner?" I suggest, seeing that the time is almost 7.

"Sure." She smiles and hops down to the floor. We walk hand in hand to the front of the tour bus where everyone is laughing and playing games.

"Aww my sister is growing up." Luke drools over you're relationship.

"Shut up young Lucas just remember that I'm older than you." Katie spits back at him and jabs him in the side with her elbow.

"Yeah yeah well we're going out to get some dinner."

"Be back by 9!" Luke shouts as I close the door and lead Katie to a cab.

We eventually find some cafe to eat at. She orders a sandwich of some sort so I decide to get the same. As we munch on our meals, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Ashton Irwin??" A little girl squeals.

"Hi!"

"Can I get a picture?"

I look at Kaitlyn for her approval of the interruption.

"Go ahead Ash! It's your fan!" The girl smiles and hands Katie her phone.

She snaps a picture of us and I hug the little girl.

"Are you guys dating?" She asks quickly.

"Umm, yeah we are. I'm pretty lucky aren't I?"

"Yeah she's gorgeous." The girl comments and then thanks us both before leaving.

"She was so sweet." Katie says.

Not one minute later I had several twitter notifications about my new girlfriend.

Here we go.
