You Found Me

Chapter 30

~Kaitlin's POV~

For the next few days I had a bruise on my cheek. The boys have been treating me as if I'm a fragile piece of glass. They are acting like body guards. Today there will be another interview, this time with me included.

"Kat hurry up!" Ashton called upstairs and I ran out grabbing my phone on the way out. "You ready?" He laced his fingers with mine.

I just nodded in return. Everyone piled into the van and we were off.
Upon arrival, the host greeted us. She was a young girl, with deep green eyes and pin straight black hair. The petite figure hugged all of us.
"It's great to meet you all! I'm Danielle, I'll be interviewing you." She then turned to me. "If I ask anything too personal just shake your head and I'll move on."

Just like that she left. I liked Danielle. I liked her a lot. From there we went through hair and makeup, which helped cover up my bruised face.

"Let's give a big round of applause for our next guests, 5 Seconds of Summer and Kaitlyn Hemmings!"
We all went out on cue and sat down on two couches. Luke, Michael and Calum were on the first one and Ash and I shared the other.

"So firstly, what's it like having your sister around now Luke?"
"It's great. She can be a pain but I love her." Everyone laughed at his response.

"And Ashton I understand you've taken on the responsibility of fatherhood with Kaitlyn."

"This is true. You know I think something's can be completely unexpected but are completely worth it at the same time. Everything happens for a reason and this is bringing us together more, so uh yeah I just think-"

"Okay bro shut up we get your point you love her," Michael interrupts. I can feel myself blushing like crazy over this. After more questions about touring and their lives she looks at me.

"Kaitlyn, do you have any thoughts on what will happen after your baby is born?"

"Erm, yeah I think I'm just going to try to be the best mom I can be and maybe earn some more cash." The audience cheered for the response.

"Well congratulations and I wish you all the very best. Ladies and gentleman once again give it up for 5SOS and Kaitlyn!"

Right after, I made a beeline for the bathroom, feeling the need to puke. Ash ran after me and held back my hair while I gagged up everything I had eaten in the past 24 hours.
"Thanks babe," I rinsed my mouth at the sink and he kissed my cheek before leaving.
"I'll be waiting outside for you."

A few minutes later I walked out only to see Calum and Danielle pressed against each other in the corner. I sneakily stood by to eavesdrop.

"Calum I don't know," she said.
"Oh cmon, you're beautiful and everyone would love you."
"Fine. One date for now."
I watched as she slipped him her number and a peck on the lips before pacing away.

"What was that all about Cal?" I snuck behind him and surprised him for sure.

"KATIE I SWEAR!"

"What? You wouldn't hurt me would you now?" I said with a sly smirk.

Out of nowhere Calum started chasing me and threatening to tickle me all the way back to our van.

"You suck," he huffed finally.
"You'll thank me someday."
