You Found Me

Chapter 36

~Ashton's POV~

I'm leaning against the island in our kitchen reading tweets when the door is unlocked and three of my friends walk in.
First Michael enters, hauling a big box with him. Then Luke glumly follows and lastly Kat huffs inside. Luke almost immediately runs upstairs, taking two steps at a time. Michael sets down the box and walks off to another room.

"Hey babe how was shopping?" I kiss her forehead and she leans into me.
"Great. We found cribs for the babies. But then Luke...." She trails off.

"Hey relax. Luke is just trying to figure himself out. I'm sure he'll be back to his normal self soon." She just nods and wraps her arms around me silently.

It gets late so we head upstairs. I tuck my girlfriend into her bed and then proceed to my own room.

Quickly I fall asleep in hopes of a better day tomorrow.

~Kaitlyn's POV~

The next morning I get dressed in some sweat pants and a tee shirt. I enter the kitchen and grab a pop tart from the cabinet. While it's being toasted, Ash sneaks behind me and rests his chin on my shoulder. He yawns, which I find adorable, and then begins making coffee.

"So today we can set up those cribs. I also thought we should start brainstorming some names for these little ones."

"Yeah you're right. I've been pondering over some but nothing special has really come to me, so we should sit down and think it through." I take a seat at the table and munch on my small breakfast.

Soon Ashton takes his place next to me and carries over two mugs of warm coffee.
"Thank you."

Then as I'm about to take the first sip, I feel a thud on my stomach.
"Ash! Oh my gosh I think I felt a kick." I place my hand on my rounded belly and smile in astonishment.
"Really?" He looks up at me with excitement clear in his eyes.

He kneels beside me and places his cheek to my mid-section. After staying like that for about a minute, he plants a kiss gently on me.

"I love you babies so much." He whispers and it brings tears to my eyes.

"Alright babe, we should probably get on with our day." I squeeze his hand and he nods in agreement. The day was already looking up for us.
