The car halted when we arrived at the place. Akmang bubuksan ko na sana ang pintuan ng kotse para bumaba nang pinigilan ako ni kuya sa braso kaya nilingon ko siya.

"This is the first time you're going out with a guy." seryosong pahayag niya.

I breathed deeply, waiting for him to add another word.

"Don't take everything fast. Kilalanin mo muna nang lubusan ang tao bago kayo magsimula sa isang seryosong relasyon. For now, don't let him hold your hands or even kiss you."

Uminit ang pisngi ko dahil sa hiya. I can't believe we're talking about this.

"O-Of course! You don't have to tell me about that. I'm aware of my limits."

Tumango-tango siya pero hindi nagbago ang seryoso sa kanyang tingin. "Good to know."

"A-And besides, he's not clearing things out, anyway. I don't know if its a mutual feelings between us."

Napayuko ako sa kaisipang iyon.

"Tss... it's obvious already. If he's man enough, he'll tell you."

Napaangat ako ng tingin sa kanya. Hindi ko napansin na bukas na pala ang katabi kong pintuan. Siguro ay binuksan niya nang hindi ko napapansin.

Bilang paalam, hinaplos niya nang marahan ang aking pisngi. "Take care."

Tumango ako at bumaba na ng kotse. Bago umalis ay may iniwan siyang paalala sa akin.

"Be home before eight."

Kinawayan ko ang papalayong SUV saka ko nilipat ang tingin sa kaharap na restaurant. I recieved a text from Jared that he's already here. I took a deep breath before finally deciding to go inside.

Binati ako at pinagbuksan ng isang guard kaya ngumiti ako. My eyes fixed to the guy who raised his hand to get my attention. It was Jared. Nakaupo siya sa di kalayuang table. It was convenient dahil madali lang siyang makita. Malawak kasi itong restaurant. I also noticed its romantic atmosphere.

"Sorry, did you wait long? Hinintay ko pa kasi na matapos ang klase nina kuya." sabi ko na nang makalapit.

"It's okay. I'm already grateful dahil pinagbigyan mo ako. Please have a seat."

Ngumiti ako at umupo sa tapat na upuan.

"We should take an order. What do you want?" he asked in a gentle tone

I noticed that we're still wearing our school uniforms. But even so, I can't help but ogle him. Well, ano pa ba ang bago? My eyes will always admire him.

"Hmm... what do you prefer?" balik kong tanong sa kanya.

I'm impressed with myself today for acting calm. And unlike before, hindi na ako gaanong nauutal.

"I suggest we try this particular pasta. I heard it's their popular menu. What do you think?" aniya habang nakatingin sa menu book.

We jumped into topics while waiting for our order. Hindi ko mapigilang mamangha dahil masaya siyang kausap. I find it comfortable to have a light conversation with him.

I unsciously tuck a few strands of my hair behind my ear. He stopped mid-sentence while staring at me. He look as if he was hypnotized.

"Y-You okay?" tanong ko.

"You really are beautiful."

Nalaglag ang panga ko matapos na marinig iyon sa kanya. To hear that word, especially from the guy you like is heart fluttering. I suddenly feel confident now that he said that.

"Thank you." kagat labi kong tugon.

Girl hindi naman siguro sobrang halata na kinikilig ka?

"And you're an amazing girl. Ngayon alam ko na kung bakit marami ang nagkakagusto sa'yo. Hindi ko inakala na pati ako ay ganun din ang mararamdaman para sa'yo." puno ng sinseridad ang kanyang boses.
