On the road once more, Ryu was training his two newest team members. He had decided to take a 2 week break in order to train the entirety of the team.

And of course Ruby and Zoro decided to help.

Ruby: Come on Eevee, you've gotta focus the energy in your tail to do it!

Eevee: Evoy!

Eevee's tail began to glow a metallic shade of white as Salamence was out doing the same. For the shiny Pokémon, Ruby was teaching him Iron Tail with the assistance of Salamence.

With Mudkip, a different route was being taken.

Literally.

Due to Zoro having a Sandslash with him, a move was being taught to Mudkip that would have multiple uses.

Ryu: Alright Mudkip, just like Sandslash.

Zoro: Use dig!!

Sandslash burrowed underground at Zoro's command. Mudkip looked before using his front paws to dig at the ground. He rapidly gained speed before fully burrowing underground. At the same time Eevee's tail stayed the metallic white as he jumped and smashed his tail into a rock destroying it.

Eevee: EVOY!!

Ruby: You did it!!

Ruby began to pat the white fluff ball's head. Mudkip resurfaced launching into Ryu's arm along with Eevee.

Ryu: Hahaha, alright you two, that was great!

Blade Nova Electabuzz and Fafnir cheered from the side as somehow and someway, Blade managed to get them a pile of berries to snack on while watching.

Ryu: How do you always do that?

Blade: *Gulp* Nido.

Ryu: Eh, fair enough.

Zoro: Huh?

Ryu: Don't worry about it, I'm the one who actually understands Pokémon talk.

Ruby: I mean I can understand a bit.

Ryu: Did you get that Houndoom wanted to have a one on one rematch with Nova yet?

Ruby: O_O

Ruby quickly turned her head to Houndoom, who howled in confirmation.

Ruby: ... Okay, still a you thing in the group.

Ryu: Damn right. Anyway, I think I'm good to go for the next Frontier Brain.

Zoro: So soon? You gotta remember that this isn't the Gym Challenge.

Ryu: I can't forget. I've got plenty of strategies to use for any situation in the Battle Dome.

Zoro: Well then, let's go.

They recalled their Pokémon getting in the Jeep.

Ruby: So Ryu, I'm terms of difficulty, how hard have your Battle Frontier battles been so far?

Ryu: Try playing a video game on extreme mode, and it gets harder every second.

Ruby: Sheesh.

Ryu: But it's a good challenge. I feel like this is exactly what I was looking for. Gym Battles were a breeze compared to it.

Zoro: That easy huh? That reminds me, who do you think we're the hardest Gym Leaders to face?

Ryu: Hm... Well not exactly all of them were difficult. Brock, Misty's sisters, Sabrina, Erica, and Blaine couldn't even take out one of my Pokémon. The only one who's actually ever gone down was Blade, and that was after facing two of Janine's Pokémon, which still ended in a draw. And then there's... Giovani. I faced Mewtwo, and I think I would've lost if it wasn't a joined battle with Gary.
