Ryu was currently battling another Frontier Brain. Fafnir over powered a black serpent Pokémon from the Hoenn Region, knocking it into the ground, and knocking it out.
???: Such power. That Dragonite definitely has experience.
This came from the black haired Pike Queen of the Frontier Brains, Lucy.
Ryu: Fafnir, return for now!
He called back the Pokémon, and then got another Pokeball.
Ryu: A two on two battle is pretty simple compared to what I've gone through. Though the change of pace is always welcome.
Lucy: Alright then, let's see you you deal with my own Ace! Milotic!!
Lucy through in a beautiful serpent like Pokémon, as for some reason, Ryu shivered.
Ryu: -_- Why do I feel like that Pokémon's gonna be an absolute struggle in my life at some point?
Ruby: Was that some kind of foreshadowing.
Ryu: Electabuzz, end the battle!!
Ryu threw in Electabuzz, who was raring to go.
Lucy: Right then! Milotic, use Iron Tail!!
The Pokémon slithered in with incredible speed, and an metallic white tail.
Ryu: Electabuzz, intercept with Cross Chop!!
Electabuzz went in, and countered the attack with his own.
Zoro: Milotic definitely isn't your run of the mill Pokémon, is it.
Ruby: Not at all. Plenty of people have trouble using their kind to their fullest.
Ryu: While you're close, Thunderbolt!!
Electabuzz discharged electricity from himself, connecting with Milotic. However shocking everyone, Milotic was hanging in there.
Ruby: It's got amazing resistance to special attacks.
Lucy: It'll take more than that for us! Milotic, use Hydro Pump!!
A powerful blast of water hit Electabuzz, pushing him back.
Ryu: Well, well, I didn't think this day would come so soon. A Water Type that wasn't completely blown back by one of Electabuzz's attacks.
He smirked once saying that.
Ryu: I didn't think I'd have to be nearly as worried until I faced Lorelei again.
Lucy: You should never rule possibilities like that out. This world is filled with Trainers that are on a completely different level!
Electabuzz: BUZZ!!
Ryu: Then I guess we're gonna have to shift it up a gear! Even though you're resistant, there are still some moves that have effects.
Right on cue, electricity covered Milotic.
Lucy: A Paralysis huh? No big deal.
Milotic surged in an odd light, confusing Ryu, and making Ruby slightly grimace.
Ruby: Not good.
Zoro: What is it?
Ryu: 'Whatever that is, there's only one way to figure out what it can do.' Electabuzz, use Cross Chop!!
