Summary: Remus simps for the nerd and finds out he might get a chance at a date after years of just watching Logan live his life.

This is some cute Intrulogical I wanted to write XD - Just felt like the previous chapter gives context first. I promise we'll get back to Prinxiety soon!

Remus counted himself infinitely lucky that his bedroom window looked over a part of his neighbours' back garden. Virgil and Roman always kept their garden more fun than Janus and Remus did, probably because they had a young child, but while Janus was organised with his lawnmower schedule the neighbouring parents let the grass freely grow – and they had a trampoline and sandpit that used so fun to play in. Remus had begged several times to play in that sandpit – he was only allowed to when he went to babysit a toddler Nathan.

But Remus didn't always look out the window just to watch Nathan play, even though that was a pretty adorable sight especially when he saw Roman being a great Dad. But sometimes, when Nathan's non-familial Uncle Logan came to visit, Remus got a full view of his attractiveness and attentiveness to Nathan. Remus' prayers must have been answered because for a few days now Logan seemed to be in the garden, babysitting Nathan, and looking just as good-looking as ever.

This time Logan was supervising Nathan on the trampoline, clutching his hands behind his back, swinging side-to-side, and seemingly speaking to someone hidden from Remus' eyes as they were under the sheltered patio. Remus didn't mind who he was speaking to – his voice was just a mumble – just watching Logan was heaven enough. He never had the courage to talk to Logan himself.

Instead, Remus always watched from afar. It began one day after school in eighth grade, after small whispers confirming that Roman had his first boyfriend and needed an alibi to see him after school. "I've got a favour to ask Re." The whisper began while Remus was trying to sleep through American History class. Roman sat next to him and looked high alert – he wasn't alert on the lesson, rather whether anyone else was listening in.

"Yeah?" Remus mumbled and raised his head slightly, watching Roman bite his thumbnail and give up his search for witnesses. "What's up Ro? I'm good at hiding secrets."

It took a few seconds of silence for Roman to finally unleash his favour. "I need you to go to Sanders Movie Theatre with me next Friday, but you need to book your own seat – preferably near the back or to see a completely different movie."

"So... You want to take me to the movies but treat it like you're going alone? I promise I'm not that dick that talks in movies." Roman laughed under his breath but then let the laugh stifle, looking around again and fiddling with his fingers.

He gulped and took another deep breath in as his cheeks went pink. "Actually... I'm taking someone there with me. But I'm scared of my parents finding out." Hidden relationships were quite normal for Roman and Remus' friendship group, since they were all in eighth grade and their parents had different limits when it came to romance at their age. Luckily Remus and Roman bonded more than the rest since they had very unique reasons to hide their dates. "You'll think I'm the luckiest guy in the world, trust me, they're so cute."

Logan certainly was cute. He was absolutely mesmerising at first sight. As soon as Remus spotted Logan waiting in the cinema his breath was taken away. Logan was tall for his age even as a young teen, and he would loom over Roman and therefore Remus too. His voice was low and gentle, his skin was tanned, his hair looked so soft and a chocolate brown... Remus was astonished he never went into modelling. He was super intelligent too with straight A grades, and he even spoke a little Hungarian since it was his parents' first language. Still, since Logan was Roman's first boyfriend Remus knew and accepted the nerd was completely off-limits. At every opportunity Remus would help Roman sneak out just so he could see Logan again and again and again. He loved admiring his beauty.

Until they broke up. It was a weekend and Remus was jolted from homework by his mother shouting upstairs that a friend outside looking upset. As soon as Roman ran into Remus' room he was crying into his shoulder and mumbling: "We broke up. He doesn't want to date me anymore. He doesn't want to be in the closet because of me."

"Do I need to give him a punch Ro?" Remus was pretty much trapped in a tight hug with Roman's arms strangling him. He went to a different high school to Roman at this point in time but this moment made Remus realised he missed Roman's hugs. He hugged like Remus imagined a supportive brother would hug.

After some sniffling Roman shook his head, asking for a tissue (they were always beside Remus' bed for... reasons possibly involving Logan). After wiping his face with a clean tissue Roman could explain why Logan had ended things. For a while the reason why Logan broke up with someone who loved him so dearly really turned Remus off him.

But once they were all more mature the first thing Logan did was apologise for his falsehoods surrounding the easiness of coming out. That was all it took to ignite the attraction again. And now Remus was being an utter simp staring out the window at the nerd babysitting the five-year-old.

"I'm gonna close my eyes just in ca... Oh good, you're just stalking." Janus barged into Remus' bedroom with a full laundry basket ready to do some house chores, he looked relieved to just spot Remus staring out the window like an excited dog. "What's the nerd doing this time that's got you so infatuated?"

Remus was smiling like a goofball and had his head lying on his fist. "Just being cute with Nathan. He'd make such a cute Dad... And such a good Daddy." Janus scowled at that and picked up the last of the dirty laundry on the floor, rolling his eyes and mumbling to himself about how he didn't understand how Remus found sex enjoyable – but he understood even less how Remus could desire having a mini-him by his feet for eighteen years non-stop.

"I'm so glad I'm getting him to ask you on a date."

That mumble was heard loud and clear and caused Remus to swiftly turn and leap towards his roommate with an erratic grin. "YOU WHAT?"

"I asked Roman and Virgil to get a word in about you to that guy. To get you to calm down a little." Even though Janus had an unimpressed face, Remus was eternally grateful for his friend. The unamused look soon broke into a small smile as Remus grabbed the laundry basket – practically vibrating. "Oooh, are you getting your house-husband skills ready for your new beau?"

Remus' face was red but he was happy, and that was all Janus really cared about with his friend. "Shut up! It's my turn on the rota!" The chaotic thirty year old screamed as he ran down the stairs. Janus followed slowly to make sure he didn't break a leg; he already knew he was due for an entire evening of excited babbles from the other's imagination. "But imagine his smile when I cook him dinner after a long day of work – or whatever lecturers do... Oh he'd be so fucking cute!"
