Lily’s Point of View:

Silence engulfed the dining area as the only sound that could be heard is the clanking of the knives and forks clicking against plates. I gazed at Scott who was looking at back and forth from Justin and I over a newspaper. This awkward scene has been on role for almost two weeks now.

After thoughtful thinking, I have come to a conclusion that I might be able to explain what is wrong. It basically all started after I paid a visit to Justin’s room after we took a trip to the Art Museum, well in reality amusement park.

It was hours after our obscene face to face encounter on the ferries wheel that could of turned into something fatal.

I specifically asked Justin respect my wishes of not wanting to pursue an inappropriate relationship behind Scott’s back. Although I may have left out that part. It was an repulsive idea.

It’s against all of my morals, but most of all it was down right wrong. Justin should of catch my drift being the wise person he is. Instead of may of taken this all out of proportion due to the fact he hasn’t said a single word to me.

I’m was lucky if I got a good morning or hi, which I didn’t get hopes up to much since Scott was in the same room. Shall I also mention how he has been skipping out on Scott’s and I activities.

His primary excuse is being busy or not in the mood. Not that I care where he goes or whose he is with, but I have no one to take me away. I haven’t known Justin for the longest but he’s became my escape route to get away. Now that he isn’t living up to his name, it has me thinking a lot.

“What is up with you two?” Scott said, referring to the fact none of us are very talkative like usually. Justin and I eyes shot up at him in unison. Well Justin isn’t talking to me at the moment because I refuse to pursue a intimate relationship with him behind your back. So how is the morning paper that you’re reading? Of course I wasn’t the boldest person around. “Nothing.” I simply replied, avoiding Justin’s unnecessary eye rolling and mumbling underneath his breath.

“Something seems off. Usually the both of you are constantly bickering at each other. Not a single insult or a word has been said.” I began to grow frustrated with Scott’s inferences of what might be going on.

I mean if he wasn’t so secluded into his own little world, maybe he wouldn’t be so damn clueless. Sorry, but not sorry. I have no idea why I’m making such a big fuss out this.

Scott is only being caring, while I’m having a conversation in my head because I haven’t build up the courage to tell him anything. If I did he would of known about my boredom and semi-kiss with Justin.

“Since the both of you are holding grounds of giving the silent treatment. I’m off to work, I tired my best to figure out what‘s going on.” Scott said, placing one arm at a time into his suit jacket. After grabbing his briefcase heading out the door. Although that wasn’t Scott’s best, it did leave the two of us alone.

My mouth was a slight agape ready to solve the tense between Justin and I. That was all shut down, once Justin waved me away. “Listen I’m going out.” He took a pause as he gazed over me. It was almost as if he was hesitant about his own statement.

“Can I join?” I asked, hoping he wouldn’t decline. I could use a good outing. It’s been awhile. “This is something I rather do alone.” Justin spoke, getting up and leaving me at the table alone. You know what they say about rejection….it does hurt. Of course this hasn’t been the first time Justin shush me away when I wanted to hang out.

Last week:

I overheard Justin one phone mainly because I walking past his door. The word party stuck out to me the most. The only parties I have been attending lately was only formal. Ballroom gowns and stuck up people. I could use a fun one.
