Lily’s Point of View
The moon and stars cast over the sky wonderfully as night finally fell. Prancing around my room, you would of though there had been a break in with the amount of clothes and shoes distributed everywhere.
But of course it’s only my intuition telling me that certain outfits weren’t perfect for tonight’s occasion with Justin. With the help of my two fellow best friends hopefully they can help put that problem to ease.
I quickly raced from closet towards my webcam, holding up two different dresses to see which one will make the cut.
“I like the one on the left.” Julia said, pointing to short, but left something to be imagined number.
“You should definitely go with the one on the right.” Hailey protested, eyeing the dress that exposed a little too much.
I groaned stomping a foot to the ground knowing every time I ask the two of them for help, I end up wearing something completely different from the options that are being presented.
“What are getting so worked up about?” Julia asked, knowing that I have never had so much pep in my attitude with it came to dates.
“I know right.” Hailey agreed. “Since when are you happy to go out with Scott.” She put emphasis on his name which made my stop in my tracks to cringe. I received a funny look from the both of them.
“Earth to Lily.” Julia waved a hand in the front of the cam. “Is your screen frozen or did we observe a point.” Hailey said, cocking her head to side expecting an answer.
I knew this talk would come sooner or later. Although I expected it to be later, but I suppose I’ve had enough time to rehearse what I was going to stay. I twiddle with my thumbs, a common gesture of mine whenever I was nervous or
“You’re hiding something. You always do that when you’re nervous.” Julia exclaimed, pointing at the screen. My friends surely did know me best.
“Okay time to spill. What’s been eating at you lately?” Hailey questioned, sounding just as demanding as Julia was. Oh the irony of that statement.
A little grin spread across my face. “If you must know. I’m not going out tonight with Scott tonight.” I battered my slightly dry lips with salvia. They gave me a suspicious look that read continue on. I gulped.
“It’s Justin.” I hazily admitted, avoiding all eye contact.
There was complete silence that filled the room, I had to check for a moment to see if they were comprehending well until I heard a gasps and burst of giggles erupt through the speakers.
“I knew it would happen!” Julia said, getting a little to excited for my favor. I smiled give a slight shrug.
“Same here! We both called it.” Hailey replied, but twisting up her mouth in confusion. “How long has this been going on? And why haven’t you told us?” She blurted out suddenly.
I put my hands up in surrender. This wasn’t time for Q and A. I had a date to attend in less that hour. I was already running behind time as it was.
“Look girls, I will fill you on everything you want to know when we go out.” I promised, knowing if I didn’t they would pesture me the whole night into telling them.
“Damn right you will. And have fun on your date.” Julia responded, giving a subjective wink after.
“But not too much fun. We’re going to need you to remember everything that happens. Oh don‘t think to hard on your dress choice. I‘m sure it will be off by tonight anyway.” Hailey beamed, holding her hands together as If she was proud of what she created. I smiled shaking my head while saying goodbye before shutting down my laptop to continue on getting ready.
