Seventh Of Each Month

A typical morning rather came quickly for Lily who was energy deprived because of the lack of sleep she had received. Mostly due to the fact that her date with Justin ran late and an unexpected encounter with her Dad. It was a hell of night to say at least.

A groaned escaped from her lips as she tried her best to continue her deep imaginative slumber before the erupt of laughter interrupted once again. The various sounds of guys chatting down stairs could be immediately heard between slits of the door.

Thrashing a pillow across the room that she used as a shield to drown herself out the world. It became evident that sleep would have to be put on hold. Whipping back the covers while both of her legs swung over to the side of the bed, her feet found their way to her slippers as she literally slid to the bathroom.

After doing a morning routine, Lily quickly made her way downstairs as she was greeted by Scott, Dad, and Justin all sited at the table.

“Good morning.” Lily sent a slight smile before taking a sit down next to Justin. She ranted to herself upstairs about how she was going to discuss how their obnoxious behavior woke her up, but after a shower. She seemed to relax. And besides from what she heard downstairs it seemed her three favorite guys were getting along. She couldn’t be the person to ruin their moods.

“Morning” All three of them spoke in unison.

Lily met her Dads gaze while he peered over to her. The way he stared at her it was as if something was on her face.

“What is it Dad?” She questioned, pouring cereal into a bowl before grabbing a hold to the glass of milk.

He sent a look as if it was obvious. “What are you doing prancing around in your bra?” Tony motioned his fork in his hand up and down to emphasize his point.

Everyone’s eyes shot up towards Lily. Scott peeking over his newspaper for a moment to only look back down. Justin taking in his bottom lip as his eyes scanned over her body repeatedly. Then there was her Dad demanding to know why she insisted on her choice of clothing.

She dropped her spoon that plop down into back into the bowl making the contents splatter onto the table.

“It’s called my work out clothes. Every female wears them!” Lily scoffed correcting his mistake. The man hasn’t even been here for a full day yet he was already trying to command her.

“At least put on a jacket.” Tony demanded rather than ask.

Inwardly groaning, muttering a piece of her mind underneath her breath. She did as her dad wished placing on a jacket that matched her sweats that was currently hanging onto the back of her chair to avoid any argument.

“Happy?” She smartly replied, finally getting a chance to enjoy her cereal. Tony shook his head ignoring her smart comment.

It was then when silenced swept over the four of them made her realize that it was four of them seated at the table. Glancing over a Scott who worn nothing that screamed suitable for the work office. It was causal. Too casual. Even on Casual Fridays, he insisted on wearing jeans and button up shirt.

“Why aren’t you at work?” She blurted her thoughts out loud. Earning a stare from everyone. She hung her head little embarrassed at her sudden outburst.

Scott assumed that Lily‘s words were directed towards him. “Well I decided to take a couple of days off.” He peered into her eyes, reaching over to touch her hand “To spend time with you.” He finished, with a grin.

Not saying anything since her focus was on Scott. She couldn’t help, but to be in complete awe at the unexpected gesture. Justin saw completely through it. Why did Scooter want to take time off now to spend time with Lily?
