No Point of View

For once Scott’s mind couldn’t wrap around the concept of work. Especially when everything seemed to remind him of earlier when Lily bombarded into his office demanding to know answers to questions he certainly couldn’t provide.

He damned Justin, for filling her mind with all these lies. Then of course Lily to, for being so gullible. A finger grazed the bottom of his chin, as the paper work before him hadn’t been touched or organized as it was plan to be a task to do before he left for the night.

Not being in the right state of mind, the only thing Scott wanted to do was go home to get to the bottom of this.

Grabbing his coat swiftly from the chair as it spun around and brief case that was positioned on the floor. Taking a one step out the office, giving an overview as he carried on.

“Leaving so soon?” Monroe says, nibbling at the end of her glasses as she approached him. Scott groaned raising an eyebrow at her presents. He expected everyone to be gone for the night especially Catherine Monroe.

“Yes I would love to get home to Lily.” He put emphasizes on her name as reminder that he was off limits. But being the strong headed person Catherine was, she could work her way around that little obstacle as she referred it.

“Oh Lily, she’s something else isn’t she?” Monroe stifled, before taking a step closer as Scott took one step back. She put her hands up in surrender as if she was really going to keep them for herself. Scott knew better.

“You know no one is around.” Monroe said, gripping the end of Scott’s tie reeling him as if he was the catch of the day. Scott stumbled a few steps forward

“Don’t miss that time that we shared?” Monroe cocked her head to the side peering up into his face. Scott mind flashed to that faithful night.

The night was similar to this one except it was pouring outside. Scott just ended a heated argument with Lily whom he left upstairs in tears. He didn’t feel welcome into his own home so he went to this next best place. His work office.

He knew that could find peace and quiet there along with a good amount of work to take his mind off of latest issues that kept coming. Scott has been stressed meaning some of things he says are just for the spur of the moment.

He didn’t mean to intentionally hurt Lily’s feelings in any kind of way. Walking into the dark office as the lighting faded in and out the half closed blinds provided enough light to lead towards his office. Jabbing the key into lock rapidly before closing the door behind him. Tossing his brief case and coat into the nearest chair. He took a sit at his desk to lean down to rest his eyes momentarily.

A tap was at the door, Scott’s head shot up admittedly not expecting any company. Peering at the door he saw Monroe with two cups of coffee behind the glass.

He motioned for to come in, not really in the mood for any company, but having coffee couldn’t do any harm. The red head waltz right in wearing a pencil shirt and blazer with a smile plastered on her face.
