Lily’s Point of View

The words that I read silently became a hazy blur once I was literally scooped up and swept off my feet. Into a firm, broad, but somewhat tender hold to only be spun around repeatedly.

I swatted at the unknown character with the book in my left hand, once the swimming in my head came to a cease. I was brought back to the ground where I staggered to keep my balance. Once again the firm hold broke my fall.

“What the hell Scott!” I yelped, somewhat surprised that it was him. In all my years of knowing him. I haven’t expected Scott to have a immature bone within his body. Most of all I thought it was Justin. How bad would it have been if I screamed out his name in rage? Yikes, I don’t even want to think about what could occur next.

“Whoa.” Scott step back in surrender a play gleam tugging on his features. “Have a little fun.” He teased.

I scoffed. Fun?

Since when does Scott know how to have fun.

This should be entertaining.

“Oh really?” I inquired, unconvinced by his statement.

“Yep.” He said, popping the p. “In fact I’m going to show you how fun I can be.” Scott challenge, with tinge of certainty in his voice.

“Enlighten me.” I accepted his challenge placing a hand on my hip sassily.

Scott took a step closer as if he was about to share a secret.

“I want you to pull out a number that you’ve been wanting to strut around in awhile because tonight I’m taking you out.” Scott informed. My excitement meter went up slightly to only be shot back down once I realized what his typical night of fun was.

“I’m not interested in going to the museums, business parties, and anything that related to work.” I kindly shot down his offer. There was no way, I was going to put on my best fit to only be disappointed. I’ve been fooled to many times. I know the game way to well.

“Ahh.” Scott beamed, with a wag of his index finger. “That’s where you’re wrong babe. It has nothing to do with work. Trust me you‘re not going to want to miss out on this.” Trust me. Should I? Hmm.

I didn’t move a muscle but my face manage to consort into a skeptical look.

I felt a slight sting on my left ass cheek as Scott hand collided with it. I gasped, gapping at the unexpected gesture. He didn’t just do that!

“Go!” Scott joked poking to the left, but in a serious tone.

I huffed rolling my eyes making an attempt to shuffle towards my closet.

It’s been a week since I confirmed the break. All in honestly, I felt as if I was wasting my breath by not just following my first mind and ending things once and for all. But to my dismay, Scott did the unexpected. He lived up to his word. His promise to make things better. Not saying that I’m fully accepting his charming and kind gratitude. Because who knows, he could be reeling me in just so I can stay. Then once he catches me, he will go be back to his old ways.

Although over the course of the week, Scott has been making up for the lost of time in our relationship in various of ways. Taking me out, listening, and basically being everything that he was before becoming a workaholic. But it may have been wrong of me, I couldn’t help, but to notice that everything he was starting to do reminded me of what

Justin has been doing. No originality or uniqueness. I’m sure Justin didn’t give Scott any pointers. Because no man on god’s green earth will give another man advice on how to win the same women over. The odds are very unlikely.
