after that short interview with the cast it got me thinking LMAO
i am 99% sure rina is going to happen but it's weird how blatant and obvious it is??? in the trailer and in the promotion... like majority of the cast gave a safe "whatever the characters want/whatever makes them happy" as if they know that portwell ain't going to last.
but if that's the main plot of the season, rina vs portwell, isn't it weird that they're giving away the answer so obviously?
forgot if i mentioned this before but rina being in the trailer surprised me,, i thought they would pretend smth else was the big deal and reveal that it was rina all along in the season itself.
it's weirdly predictable and tho hsmtmts doesn't have 10/10 writing,, they often had a twist that wasn't put in the trailer (ex.: long distance being shown as the problem in s2 trailer but really it wasn't in the season itself)
so i wonder if things are going to be different after all,, no doubt rina will have scenes and push through, but maybe they won't end up together in s3... not yet. or smth else gets thrown into the problem?
idk,, just felt like i needed to address that lmao bc there has to be smth we don't know about
((possible plot would be gina thinking smth is going on between val and ej but idk matt said he and meg's characters have a sibling relationship))
especially since rina's plot this season sounds like an imitation of rini's plot in season 1. how sofia put it (there's always going to be smth living between two people,, gina being confused by the past) is exactly what rini's storyline was all about. nini trying to move on but she and ricky can't shake off their history bc the feelings are still there. the difference is ricky doesn't have feelings for gina (yet).
not sure where i'm going with this but i'm hoping they don't try to make gina like nini? and i'm hoping there's a reasonable development that would lead ricky to liking gina fr. and i'm hoping for smth unexpected to happen along the way. it can't just be them going to summer camp, ricky ruining portwell's perfect summer, and rina getting together happily ever after.
rina endgame looks too easy rn,, that's all i'm saying
