1. ricky and gina aren't breaking up,, rina endgame
ricky's arc is rly clear from the official trailer,, and it's smth i wrote about last time.
in that chapter i said that there were two possible endings for rina: (a) a breakup and (b) a love confession. the first look into the first four minutes of s4 confirmed for me that it's (b) that's going to happen or smth along those lines. ((besides the preview shown at barbie theaters where rina still is happy together in the season finale)).
it's rly simple bc knowing the show,, if it's going to start with conflict,, then it's definitely going to end well for the main couple. same thing happened in s1 ((rini breakup,, rini endgame)). while s2 and s3 started off in a more positive place ((rini back together,, portwell happy,, both broke up)). tho ig rini did have conflict already in s2 episode 1,, but it was only until the end that it was known to both nini and ricky,, and the conflict wasn't as dramatic as a breakup or gina kissing another guy in front of her boyfriend.
if this wasn't the final season,, rina breaking up would have been more probable. but it's hard to believe that disney would have any of their main leads single by the end, yk?

rina endgame isn't the worst thing to happen ((ricky having feelings for gina never made sense, but let's move past that rn)),, but i do worry about how it happens.
once again,, this season rina will weirdly parallel rini. except they'll be emulating the skeleton of rini's s2 story.
girl is off pursuing her passion//dream,, boy is insecure and jealous that he isn't a part of that.
assuming ricky's character grows throughout this conflict on his own and figures out what he wants besides the relationship,, i can see why the ending wouldn't be a breakup this time. ((i'm starting to think s3 and s4 are just s1 and s2 again except the end results are different bc ricky learned to grow from the first two seasons lol,, but i'm hopeful for more character development for him this season and it's not just him relying on what he already learned again like in s3))
but,,, here's where my problem lies.
