yk i wouldn't have a problem with portwell breaking up if only everything gina said was the focus of the season??? the,, portwell is in different life stages point. bc what actually went down this season was ej being forced to direct a whole ass show for DISNEY+,,, he couldn't have done anything about it.

ej would have never ignored gina if he wasn't given the role... portwell's downfall was caused by external factors. ej's response to everything was bc of his desire to prove himself ((besides him not having a choice in the first place)),,, but this has been smth for him since s2... it's not new just bc he graduated already,,, nor is proving yourself smth that only becomes a goal when you graduate lmao. and why would he want to let down his entire camp??? why are we supposed to think that this is him not knowing what rly matters anymore ((he lost sight of this a few times for sure,,, but his overall circumstances didn't allow him any room to breathe anyway. he's also made it perfectly clear numerous times that he hasn't forgotten about gina,,, he's doing this to stay with her))??? portwell would have had a perfect summer if the responsibility wasn't thrown on him, period. the breakup wasn't bc of the "different life stages" at all. if the writers wanted to go with this,,, they should've allowed portwell to be a normal couple and still have problems. not force them into unfortunate situations that they have no control over.
((why is nobody taking ej's stress seriously anyway???? why is nobody helping him??? not even gina. and she doesn't know why he confides in val instead??? someone who's helping him with the show??? again,, weird how gina doesn't understand how he's feeling after that couch scene in s2.))
